So OOO releases the update... that they are still testing and receiving feedback on.
I'm sorry , but WHY DID THEY EVEN OPEN UP THE TEST SERVER IN THE FIRST PLACE. If they were going to just be shipping out the test update as is anyway, why bother going through the trouble of asking players to provide feedback? I'm trying to understand this, I really am, but it just seems more and more that OOO aren't listening to the testers.

So, OOO. If you're going to just ship the updates anyway without the players' input, why do you bother enticing us with the vain hope of making a difference in changing things before they hit the majority of players?

Cuz they are still testing the new monsters... but as you said... since ooo dont listen we already know that its pretty pointless to tell them the good and bad sides of the gel drop, grave scarab and dust bunnie. so why bother to give them feed back now?

They also were using that time to test and fix some critical bugs before the update was shipped out. Such as the haven switch bug.

The test server was never meant....

to test the UI, thus why the update pushed through hours after the test server opened up. They are testing new monsters, and etc, not the UI.

This was already talked about in another thread about 3-5 threads down.

The test server is there just to see if the update is stable or will crash and has any serious bug. It's not much of a real test with feedback.

Seriously

The test server hasn't even been up for 48 hours yet, do you really expect them to have been able to evaluate the feedback given, make reasonable, well thought out decisions regarding that feedback and then implement hose decisions in that time?
Even then, most of the feedback is just 'HURR DUUR OOO [bucket]ED UP THIS IS [bucket] I QUIT IF NO OPTION FOR OLD UI HURR DURR'. There's not really much to get from that feedback. It's as if the playerbase has become so up itself that it expects OOO to magic whatever they want into existence instantly.

It's called preview, not a v1.[insert how many times this game has updated itself] beta.

This game pretty much asks for donations, not some, you must pay to win or you must pay to play. Paying then will be repaid with some incentives, CE etc. That's how free MMO games work. The preview server is an incentive, not a must have or a pay to win, or a must pay to see.
