I have no idea if this was already a posted idea.

What if you could disguise a bomb as a sword? The sword would follow the positioning and rotation of said bomb, and the bomb would not be visible, just the sword it's disguised as (Note: if said sword clips into the ground, I don't care, and it wouldn't really matter)! It would just be really funny to shoot someone with a wrench wand, or make another sword look like one you like better, but isn't as powerful as powerful as the other sword (Nightblade disguised as Cautery sword) Also costume weapon one disguises weapon one, unless no longer made costume (the weapon that is actually equipped will not be shown to people inspecting, unless full inspect is on).

casually walk away, confusing enemies
Sword explodes, Surprise!

Bomb as sword:

Poke enemy with bomb
Enemy is suddenly cut in half

Bomb as Gun:
It's almost like magic O_O

How about disguising a shield as another shield, or as a weapon, or a weapon as a shield?

FYI

The idea here is to make a gun LOOK like a bomb, not work like one.

The pulsar and catalyzer both blow things up, but they're not bombs. They're more like technologically advanced grenade launchers

You mean like armor skins?
@Zeddy's idea of disguising the Faust as a trout would work fine in that light. You could just buy the skin and alchemize the two items (weapon and skin) together.
As for disguising bombs as swords and whatnot, I highly doubt that's possible. It's a funny thought though.

I'm definitely going to disguise my antigua as a troika. my nightblade as a spinecone, and my cyro as a proto bomb. Why not? We already have a glitch that allows you to mimic another weapon's charge attack

P.S. I also want to get a troika, disguise it as a fish, and call it Troutka

The Polaris is not a bomb

The Polaris is a gun with exploding projectiles, bombs must be placed, the Polaris can be shot, a bomb cannot be shot
No skin fusion, or if there is, it will be free to do, and free to reverse.

EX: pvp tier 3 - person with all 0* armor costumes and 0* weapon Costume (proto sword and starting gear) and then charge hits somebody...

Glacius is a T3 item, so if you equip it you can only join LD at T3.

I do remember "costume weapons" being suggested before, but not crossing classes. I'd be equipping the Slime Slasher as a costume weapon all the time, especially on two of my heavy swords. (the Pierce one and the Fire-inflicting Normal one)

I can kinda understand worry about it causing problems, though; I don't even pay attention to which defenses party mates prefer, but I sure as heck pay attention to which weapons they bring! That should be solvable by having all costume items be costume-only and not looking like real weapons. That would require significant work from the art team, but the abundance of existing costume-only promo stuff kinda suggests they're already trying to find the most profitable way to keep the art team employed.

Great idea, why can't we also add accessories onto our weapons too? For example, adding a silenser on the blaster, auras on the swords, or a sniper scope on the blusar (lol what is the point of aiming a pulsar XD)

That bug in which you have your weapon charged, but the enemy in LD doesn't know that because you charged off-screen and it doesn't show up on his/her screen. BAM, random FoV charge from nowhere.
