Doesn't make me mad, just makes it much harder to tally the feedback, which seems counterproductive for everyone. :)

here let me help:
VARIANTS OF FEEDBACK AND RESPECTIVE PERCENTAGE RELATING TO TOTAL FEEDBACK
"RAAAH THIS SUCKS"-90%
"This is pretty cool, i guess"-5%
"Meh"-5%

I originally posted in another thread for a few reasons...

First, are you seeing how quickly the update thread is moving? Anything posted there is buried beneath rage comments within minutes. It really doesn't feel like it can be noticed in there.

Second, I don't think the vast majority of people who post in there (myself included) even bother to read most of what other people have said. It's just too much to bother with.

Third, I haven't seen a single GM post in the update thread aside from the OP. Now I know that's not necessarily an indication of whether or not they're actually reading it, but when it felt to me like Eury just brushed off the original criticizers with something along the lines of "most people don't like change, you'll get used to it," it made me start to wonder whether or not OOO would actually consider any constructive criticism at all, or if they think we'll just "get used to it" and stop complaining so much.

For me, the new UI is too inconvenient to just let it pass like that. I haven't played LD myself yet, but I've heard enough from friends and forum-goers to know that a bunch of things were ruined by the update.

I played LD today, the only thing that bothered me was the weapon change wheel. But I played LD like I always do.

We are reading and collecting

We are reading and collecting the feedback from the release discussion thread. It makes it faster for us if all the feedback is in one thread, rather than spread out over several pages of dozens of posts. That is why we're locking duplicate threads that pop up.

You just said it yourself that even if a GM did post within that thread, only 5% of people would actually read it.
Wait till it all blows over before making assumptions.

Sorry for parodying your comment, but the way you worded it was nearly identical to the way I wanted to word my reply.

Hey! That's my tactic! If you're gonna do it, at least do it right and take out the quotes!

Perhaps I was misunderstood as being angry about all this, but I ain't even mad, bro. What I am is disappointed that there has been such a tiny response from OOO in all of this. They used to be way more in-touch with their playerbase, but now we seem to get more and more standard messages. Hopefully that will change (it seems to be, anyway) with all these complaints and suggestions. All I'm saying is that it'd be nice for a GM to actually post in the update thread to acknowledge that they are paying attention. Even something as simple as, "we hear you and are currently taking your suggestions to try to fix these issues." Maybe even mention a few posts specifically. Just to know that they've actually opened the thread would make me (and probably a ton of other people) much happier and more willing to deal with the changes for the time being. Yeah, I know that they only post in the other threads to close them, but at least at that point we know that they've actually bothered to click on it. And yes, I checked the update thread for responses by GMs. There aren't any. People tend to notice GM posts more than other posts due to their comparative rarity and purplyness.

Purplyness. That's a word now. You heard it here first, folks!

I didn't. I made a topic about how moderators were only locking threads where people complained about the UI change, sometimes even telling them to put it in testing feedback. The topic then wondered why they didn't do the same things with other transgressions such as swearing or senseless necroing.

It was then promptly graveyarded without a warning or shadow copy.

When I made a post commenting on this and moved it back, it was locked, the comment deleted, and the thread moved back to the graveyard.

Also, coffee table flip!
