Keep Remedy Capsule Non-cursed When Being Cursed.

I hate it when I save up 3 capsules and then when I get cursed by my faust the capsules are unluckily cursed.

So the Remedy Capsule slot should always remain Non-cursed, and if possible only the Faust should be cursed (Since we don't all have 3 weapon slots).

Well it's half asbestos and

Well it's half asbestos and half water.

So if you only eat the blue part it shouldn't be cursed.
But I don't know if Spiral Knights have teeth, let alone mouths.

Hmm...

@ GoS1 : Yeah, it should

@ GoS1 : Yeah, it should remove the curse, but he'll still take a good hit of damage just for using it, which somewhat defeats the purpose of trying to cure the status in the first place. :P

I agree, OP. Remedy capsules should be immune to curse status.

Instant effect for remedy capsules

Along those lines, it would be nice if remedy capsules didn't have any wind-up animation (i.e. you were just instantly cured of the ailment). Because nothing sucks worse than having a shock tick prevent you from using the very capsule that would cure it. No other vials would get this instant-use treatment- it's reasonable to require a momentary half second to use a health capsule, but the whole point of remedy is to get rid of what ails you. If you have to maneuver to get clear of a mob so it doesn't flatten you while you devote a second to using it, chances are whatever was ailing you (fire, shock) has already done a good chunk of damage.

That does seem rather

That does seem rather unusual... why would the remedy hurt you? It's counter-intuitive.

I would be okay with changing this.

its because of the priority

its because of the priority

its curse's effect before remedy's so even though curse is removed it still activates before its removal

I was actually saying that

I was actually saying that because it is a remedy you would think that curse wouldn't have an effect on remedy since it's SUPER EFFECTIVE against curse. Sort of like how water and fire don't get along. You can't light a fire on just water, because water is it's superior.

^If any of that makes sense.

I wouldn't really complain

I wouldn't really complain but 30+ seconds of curse should have an upside.

Plus Remedies are usually unused since enemy ail status' usually don't last long, so Remedies would be a huge help to Faust gamblers.

I kind of agree, while I've

I kind of agree, while I've never had remedy capsules cursed (I tend not to pick them up, lol), I can see how that's terrible. Especially considering how long curse lasts. I think it's usually 45 seconds? That just seems so unreasonable considering every other status ailment is 8 seconds or less. I believe I read somewhere on the forums, too, that even with the Seraphic set, your curse is just reduced to like 25 seconds. Which is still over 3x as long as something like shock lasts.

I agree with the idea that remedy capsules should be instant, too. I find myself on fire often, and while I have fire resistant armor, it still does a pretty good amount of ongoing damage (I'm pretty sure I take damage every second, and in Tier 3 it's very unforgiving). However, because I have resistant armor, the fire only lasts about 3-4 seconds. And that's roughly how long it takes to use a remedy capsule (if you include the time it takes to remember/see which number it's attached to). So by that time, it's too late.
