Monster hunter 3 Ultimate on the Wii U has proven to me that MMO's work excellently on the console. The reason why this is the case is because the game"pad" makes typing/chatting a lot more convenient than a regular controllers. In monster hunter you make the digital keyboard pop up by simply pressing the L button and type away with your finger/pen. Also the pad has a built in mic so it'd work well

Basically, I see a great potential in the Wii U as a co op/mmo console, and spiral knights on the wii u would be excellent I think. What do you guys think?

Well,

Still converting the game to the wii u would take too much time, look at Mojang, they spent a while on Minecraft pocket edition and the Xbox edition, while the original version remained untouched for a bit. OOO is smaller in comparison the manpower to keep up with the workload isn't accessible to them right now. And as we all know most of the community is hungry for new content.

I don't imagine it would take too much time, but then again I have no idea what game design is like. SK would also probably be a pretty big success on Wii U, since it's marketed as a "casual" MMO and the wii U has a "casual" audience. You could probably also do some cool things with the UI, notably remove all the menu buttons from the main screen and put them on the tablet.

Side note: might take less work to port it to PS4, since it will use x86 architecture. I have no idea what that is, but I am told PCs use it as well.

The problem is not the architecture, the problem is porting LWJGL to work on the console.

And stop with the "Java" bit. No, really.

Nope.

My opinion: no. SK was designed for a PC. Although Irthan (^) is right, the port is possible, but I can't see why. It works fine now.
PC's will always be better than any console, anyway.

The one bad thing.

The one bad thing about something like this?
As soon as you posted this we were doomed from the start.
Some random dev see's it and thinks, "Hey! Lets port SK to the Wii U!"
And then it'll happen.
And it'll be terrible.
So many people will quit after that.
And it'll be because multiple people want this on console.
You can quoth me on this later.
