The Nightblade and Silent Nightblade's charge attacks' explosions stop when they hit a royal mini. So if a mini is right next to me there will be only one explosion even if there were supposed to be four. There is only open field and no obstacles, the explosions stop because of the minis. They don't stop at other monsters. I hane't tested with other swords, it probably applies to the whole brandish series.
