So... Here's a RP. The full title, Death from Above- Valkyroid no Ikari translates to "wrath of the Valkyroid" in Japanese. The meaning behind this title will be revealed in the below text. Please don't post any in character posts here, that is what the Story thread will be for.

The Story

The Spiral Order has finally unlocked the secrets of the Core- and with it, the blueprints to a deadly weapon of mass destruction- the Valkyroids. Valkyroids are highly intelligent robotic destroyers made in the likeness of the protectors of Heaven. They are superior to the Isorans in every way, shape, and form, and have replaced most conventional weapons. With this new discovery, the Order quickly takes over Cradle, obliterating the monsters of the Clockworks, forcing them out of their homes and leaving the creatures with no choice but to try and adapt to life on the surface. Hurray, everything's fine and dandy, you might think. But no, what good is a story without any conflict? An ex-Spiralian scientist with a personal vendetta against the Order has turned criminal and developed a new generation of Valkyroids that are far more powerful than the Spiral Order's ones, and with the help of a criminal organization, plans to overthrow all of Cradle and become overlord of everything.

With the help of a Valkyroid named Ikaros, an elite special ops force is sent to infiltrate the scientist's- named Khan -base and destroy the Valkyroids there. And the ground of Cradle will be soaked in a sea of red.

Name: Ikaros Nakatsuki

Gender: female

Faction: Spiral Order

Personality: not much of a talker. She's shy and timid... Usually. When in her battle mode, she is a ruthless killer deprived of any emotion. She has a warm affinity towards Snipes and, for some reason, watermelons...

Appearance: Ikaros is of normal height and sports long, flowing hot pink hair that is tied by two thin white ribbons. Her forest green eyes display a deep kindness, but when her battle mode is activated, they turn a fiery red, and crosshairs are faintly visible in them if you look close enough. Her... Chest is larger than that of most girls, and she almost always has a small, sad smile on her face at all times.

Arsenal: Artemis Bow, Jupiter Blade, Combuster, Uranus Gauntlet, Uranus Queen armor, Aegis Mark II

Bio: The first of a group of Zenithos Valkyroids known as Project Ouranos, Ikaros was the greatest success that the Core had, and was dubbed as the greatest of the Ouranos valkyroids, the "Uranus Queen". She far exceeds the capabilties of all other Valkyroids, -even her Ouranos bretheren, who themselves put regular Zenithos Valkyroids to shame- and has the capability to destroy entire armies singlehandedly (although the average Zenithos is designed to do the same). Despite her power, Ikaros tries desperately to fit in with the Isorans, and is generally accepted by them because of her kind and loving personality. When word got out of "Second Generation Valkyroids" that could rival -indeed, even exceed- the Ouranos Valkyroids, Ikaros was sent along with an elite squadron of Isorans and a few other Valkyroids to locate and destroy both whoever was creating the Second Generations, and the Seconds as well.

Shot style: 6 shots similar to the Antigua line.
Abilities: good chance to cause a random status effect
Charge: Fires a spray of ten arrows that hone in on a target, followed by a white phantom hawk.
Description: a bow designed specifically for Uranus Valkyroids, Artemis is one of the most powerful weapons known in the entire universe, outmatched only by the most destructive nuclear missiles developed by the Order. Its core is comprised of pure self-regenerating Crystal Energy, the secret to its potency. This weapon is truly a technological marvel.

Swing Style: three strikes slightly faster than a Leviathan
Abilities: good chance to cause a random status effect
Charge: A spin attack similar to the Fang of Vog, followed by three elemental blasts that spread outwards, like a mix between the Divine Avenger and Brandish line.
Description: infused with shards of Minerals, The Jupiter Blade uses its power source as a potent weapon, and inflicts powerful elemental damage. It utilizes the shards as a sort of template, and the user can decide what type of element to use at any time. A deadly and adaptable thing indeed.

Name: Blackhawk Defensive Armor- Uranus Queen Set
Level: 4*
Protection type: Strong against everything
Abilities: medium attack, CTR, and ASI for all weapons, along with a medium bonus to movement speed. If damaged by shock, such as a Voltedge, the Uranus armor will redirect the energy to its core, increasing its capabilities. Never use a shock weapon against this armor.
Description: The most sturdy and potent armor known to have ever been created, this armor was designed to function only for the Ikaros; the Uranus Queen Valkyroid. It is adaptable and can be hit multiple times by several Ion cannons, Tungsten Blasters, and Nuclear Turrets and still come out unscathed. You dont want to fight someone who's wearing this armor.

I like the idea. Maybe you should put how they unlocked the Core, and the fate of Alpha Team...they did go looking for it after all. But great idea right there, you should stick with it.

Interesting...

It's a good idea and all but... How about you give the primary antagonist a better reason to be bad, as opposed to just "being insane". In my opinion, villains are better when they have a good reason to be one.

But other than that, it looks like a good idea :). You could also experiment with how the Clockwork Creatures react to the Isorans, for being driven out of their homes.

Some Suggestions...

I agree that the villain should have a better reason to be evil. Maybe it was the idea he could take over Cradle with his newfound power, or something like that.
Also, I'm standing by my decision that you should tell what happened to the Alpha Team. Maybe they got turned into the Valkyroids(Make sure there are 4 Valkyroids, that was how many were on the Alpha Team.) when they got trapped inside it, and combined with the power there.

Prologue: Omega test run

The Valkyrie gazed at the puny Monsters below. Stretching her magnificent, jet black wings, she glided over the enemy's fort. Her hawklike eyesight zoomed in on a single target; the Gremlin King, Tinkinzar. Patrolling around him was a group of fourteen Ghostmane Stalkers, which her radar easily revealed. She spotted the Gremlin Warmaster, Seerus Polaron, whirling his hammer around, shouting orders to his subordinates. Behind him were nearly half a thousand assorted Gremlins; Demos, Thwackers, the works. Inside of a group of tents, approximately two thousand civilian Gremlins meandered. Turning her attention back to her target, the Valkyrie frowned at the Monster's pathetic defenses.
A hundred Thwackers formed a barrier around the king as he sat around a small mahogany table with three of his generals. Fools. A low frequency hum resounded through her brain, and the Valkyrie tuned in to the station. A deep, baritone voice commanded her, "Omega, have you reached the objective?" As the Valkyrie nodded her answer, the voice resumed, "Good. Execute offensive plan 83." A snarl appeared on her face as she aimed her lasers at the enemy. She remembered what her creators had called her... "Project Omega", was it? She shook her head and fired.

Death and fire rained down from the heavens.

Type Zenithos: the most well rounded of Valkyroids. Their defensive and intellectual capacities match those of their bretheren, but their potential lies in their immensely superior combat and aerial capabilities.

Type Alpha: the fastest of all Valkyroids, the Alphas are designed for flight. They're armed with lasers, machine guns , and many more destructive anti-infantry weapons.

Type Beta: These are the stealth fighters among Valkyroids. Their sole objective is to sneak up on the target and assassinate them. They are extremely adept at evading enemy radar. However, they are decent in a fight and can hold their own against an entire squad of Knights. A Beta's arsenal consists of short-range suppressed weapons.

Type Gamma: Known to some as "electronic warfare" Valkyroids, Gammas are adept at hacking and manipulating machinery. They also possess electrokinetic abilities and even the dumbest among them have an IQ score easily upwards of 700.

Type Delta: These are the heavy-hitters among Valkyroids. Next to the Type Zenithos Valkyroids, they are the most powerful. Their fighting style is different from Zenithoses; instead of being all around, they focus on short-range combat. Deltas are equipped with immensely powerful ammunition and are adept at martial arts.

Type Epsilon: Epsilons are naturally weak; even the average cobalt Knight could down one. But when mixed with other Valkyroids, they are deadly. They can drain Energy from their enemies and either redirect it to other Valkyroids or utilize it themselves. In a sense, they are like Guardians; they provide support for their allies, but can also hold their own given the chance.

Type Zeta: also known as "Aquatic Warfare" Valkyroids, Type Zetas are somewhat weaker than other Valkyroids. However, put them in water, and they are capable of destroying entire fleets.

File 274: Project Theta- Thetas are a combination of Zenithos and Delta Valkyroids. They are extremely powerful and adept in combat, easily out shining the first generation Valkyroids. Truly, they are powerful foes.

File 492: Project Omicron- if Zetas and Betas had a baby, type Omicrons would be the child. They aren't any different from Zetas or Betas; they're the same, only better. Although Betas emit a radar that nothing is supposed to be able to get past, Omicrons can beat the Betas at their own game and still evade the radar. In the water, they are faster than Zetas and easily destroy entire fleets.

File 529: Project Sigma- Sigmas are like the mind child of Epsilon and Gamma Valkyroids. They are adept with machinery and can hack Gammas with ease- which is funny considering the fact that Gammas are supposed to be capable of hacking any system in the world.

File 291: Project Upsilon- A faster, stronger version of the Alphas, Upsilons were created for the sole purpose of initiating quick hit-and-run strikes to harass the Isorans.

File 2012: Project Omega- Easily the strongest Valkyroids ever created, the Omegas were designed to be the more powerful equivalent of the Ouranos Valkyroids. They combine the abilities of Zetas, Epsilons, Deltas, Gammas, Betas, Alphas, AND Zenithos's to form a deadly opponent. An army of Zenithos Valkyroids would be decimated by a single Omega; that is the extent of their unstoppable wrath.

Personality: An excellent strategist, as well as being a great fighter. However, he has a general disregard to Isorans since he thinks that he's superior to them (that is true, but he shouldn't be a jerk about it (: ). He only fights because he believes life, no matter how significant it is, must be protected.
Gender: Male
Appearance: He is an indigo Valkyroid with gold accents, and has glaring emerald eyes. He can sprout rockets from his back and use them to propel himself and fly up short distances. His voice is like that of Master Chief, codename John 117.
Arsenal: Has 2 shoulder-mounted indigo Callahans, and can fire stun blots from his hands. He can use an energy sword that he pulls from a sheath at his hip, and is an excellent martial artist.
Bio: Is one of the oldest Valkyroids found in the Core. He kinda injured one of the scientists discovering him.

Name: "Phaeton"

Faction: Neutral

Personality: A young man bound by his own normality. He is assertive, but that's the only outstanding characteristic about him.

Gender: Male

Appearance: White Business Shirt and a pair of Black Trousers. He has hazel eyes and hair, with a fairly normal complexion. He likes to keep his hair shortly cut. Two 4" rods stick out from his back, around the shoulder blades.

Arsenal / Abilities: When in combat, the rods protruding from his back emit a bright, yellow flame, taking the shape of a pair of wings. At this point, he can fly on par (if not occasionally exceeding) an Upsilon Valkyrie. He doesn't like fighting, and thus carries no weapons. The flames can completely envelop him, acting as a sort of burning shield for him.

Bio: While the discovery of the Valkyroids were celebrated amongst the Isorans, a small few of them decided to reverse-engineer the Valkyroids, resulting in a massive plethora of different technologies. The lives of the Isorans were made much more easier on Cradle, seeing how the Valkyroids' techonology gave the Isorans a big jump. However, those wanting to create a Valkyroid always faced a single problem: the costs.

Thus, an alternative was made. A small contigent of researchers reversed-engineered the Zenithos and Alpha blueprints, and created a cheaper version of the Valkyroids. However, creating the said product was still very expensive, and the research team managed to only create one of these "knock-off"s. Phaeton was outfitted with the flight capabilities exceeding that of the Valkyroids, but was otherwise useless for combat; he was simply too expensive to build with weapons.

The research team abandoned this project, and so he was sent to live casually with one of the researchers, who he refers to "onee-chan".

This reminds me very much of Sora-no-Otoshimono (*spell-checks* Yep, that's how you spell it). In fact, I'd hazard a guess that it's pretty much taken from it. Not gonna judge, it's pretty clever to incorporate it as you've done, assuming it's from it, of course. If not... try to resist Googling it if you don't know what it is. It's one of those ecchi-in-a-nutshell anime shows.

Yeah, I just finished watching the second season of SnO (damn 3rd season can't come out fast enough). I'm not a guy to steal someone else's idea, so I simply changed it a bit, incorporated my own little twist, and this is the result. Damn me and my severe case of otaku (bordering on weeaboo)!

So, Scamall, what gave it away... Was it the name Ikaros? Or the title "Uranus Queen"? Or something else?

Bio: ANOTHER important character in the Seatus Saga, Xalin was outcast for his fascination with developing his own personal weaponry, powering it with his own nature-based power. He has a strange connection with the living things around him, and wears a hoodie that impersonates the universe's stars. His hair and eyes are also sharing in the same deep blue.
Arsenal:
3*-3.5*
Large complicated metal weapons on each arm, glowing a bright green with a green aura around them, shooting a splash of bullets directly in direction facing. A sword, which can adjust it's metal to form a huge axe. And a simple metal ball that sheilds only one person. A belt, decorated with blue rosebuds. These can easily be taken off and thrown to create a cloud of blue smoke. These rosebuds actually grow off of the belt.

Name: Xeon (Gen-2 001)

Faction: Sigma

Gender: Male

Personality: Cruel and calculating, Xeon was designed to control and destroy, something he takes pleasure in doing. A skilled manipulator, he not only hacks other machines, he can easily make someone question their beliefs he's a dangerous foe not only for his mind but the fact he still retains superior strength to Gen-1 Valkyriods. He tends to manipulate other machines to undermine the enemy from the inside.

Bio: Designed to be the bane of every valkyroid, Xeon was one of the first second gen's to be created. Wielding an X4 core and an enhanced hacking and defense system, Xeon has the possibility to hack entire squadrons of Gen-1's. He controls the entire compounds security, from the surveillance to the traps. Being told that the Gen-1's took the glory and the praise, Xeon has developed a strong hatred for them. Originally the Gen-2's would've been the basic valkyroid, but the Order deemed them too expensive and dangerous, this was all when Xeon had already been commissioned to be built. And so the unfinished Xeon was thrown in a tightly guarded facility, doomed to rot. That was until *Insert criminal organization here* was hired to break out the Gen-2 and bring it to Khan. There he was perfected, and to be the key weapon against the valkyroids especially the Ouranos, the supposed "leaders" of the valkyroids. He'll destroy anyone in his way, collateral damage or not.

Gear: Corruptor, Data Destroyer, Corruption Helm, Corruption Raiment, Syphon Shield

Name: Corruptor (Class Alpha Viral sword MK.III)
Level: 4*
Damage: elemental/shadow
Appearance: A slimmer 5* brandish with Black as it's main color, and red as its secondary.
Swing: Three hit swing, each leaves a faint trail of black and red corrupted data
Abilities: Anything mechanical hit by this sword will be hacked, albeit slowly, the victim will lose control over the hit area, marked by the black and red data it will leave on the victim. The Virus will progress throughout the body, until the victim is entirely overtaken.

Name: Data Destroyer (Compressed Tri-shot data breaker MK.I)
Level: 4*
Appearance: A totally black gauntlet that extends to the users elbow, with three barrels on the front trigger connected to the users palm.
Damage: Elemental
Shots: 2 huge shots, made up of three smaller shots, bullets are a mix of poisonous green, blood red.
Abilities: Anything mechanical hit by the shots of this gun will have its data wiped, if armored, it will destroy the data in the armor.

Name: Corruption Helm (Enhanced Code armor, Data regulator MK.II)
Level: 4*
Defends: elemental and shadow. Curse, and poison.
Appearance: Like an almarian crusader helm, except it has a hacked aura around it, which is black, while the helm is blood red with a secondary color of black. A helm mounted display is on the right eye.
Abilities: The helm allows Xeon to regulate his data more easily, enabling easier hacking. It also gauges the structure, data makeup, and power of opponents.

Name: Corruption Raiment (Reworked Flak Jacket, Corruption code implemented MK.I)
Level: 4*
Defends: Elemental and shadow. Fire and shock.
Appearnce: Like a surge flak jacket, color Black, secondary red. Hacked aura around it. Burlier leg guards, chest guards and shoulder guards.
Abilities: This also allows Xeon to control his data much more easily, while improving processor speeds, and strength

Name: Syphon Shield (Energy Abosber, Code 492, MK.II)
Level 4*
Defends: Shadow and piercing
Appearnce: Like a surge breaker shield, except black and red.
Abilites: Absorbs some data through it, which can be repurposed to improve Xeon, or send it back as a beam of corruption.

Maybe he and Ikaros can be rivals?

@Everyone: Nice apps, guys! :3 They're all accepted.
@Azure: What I mean is, yes, characters do NOT have to be Valkyroids. You can make Isorans, Monsters, Snipes, etc characters in this RP. If all the characters were Valkyroids, who would be left to control the non-Valkyroid characters, who are just as important to the story? So yes, non Valkyroid characters are allowed.

Also, Xalin is scared of falling in love. Forgot to add that part in bio. Sprites have very....loving....hearts. All Sprites are afraid if they fall in love, they won't recover if it's ruined.

Ok, ok.

As for your question, Gzilla, this story begins much earlier- at the discovery and eventual mass-production of the Valkyroids. As such, your character may not be able to come into play for a few weeks (if this moves fast, hopefully only 2-3) so I suggest making either a Gen-1 (my god, I love that term now) Valkyroid or non-Valkyroid character; therefore, even though Xeon may take a while to come to light, you can still participate in the roleplay. Besides, if the story began right at the compound raid, we would have no time for character development- that is to say, give more of the characters' stories and let the readers get to know them more -which would subtract from the story's entertainment value. Readers want to get to know their heroes, know their faults, their upsides, and have a reason to cheer for them. They also want to learn about the villains and anti-heroes, learn why they are the way they are, get to see their deviousness, their cruel actions, and actually have a reason to cheer the heroes on to victory against them. Stories are much better that way, wouldn't you say?

For you, Seatus, your request may take a while. Yes, we'll be doing the proposal thing here, where we give our additions, tweak them so everyone is satisfied and so our story additions fit together well, and then be posted on the story thread by me. Problem is, we're gonna need some active members on this RP (I myself will probably be able to put a long, meaningful post only about 3-5 times a week, with side comments and updates here and there) to keep it going. Hopefully we can work our way around this issue. As a side note, the story thread might take a while, as I have to post links n' stuff. (By the way, I could do free renderings of everyone's characters; it'll give me something to do)

I hope you don't mind me adding a few story details. Tell me if it's too much and I'll change it.

Faction: Spiral Order
Name: Talekot Baerut (pronounced: Tail-cot, Bay-root). People usually call him Tale

Personality: Usually a serious type of guy, Talekot doesn't allow himself to be distracted from his work by things he deems petty. Despite being a man of science, he lives by a code of honor that seals his loyalty to the Spiral Order. He gives an equal devotion to his duty and friends. But if he is forced to pick one over the other, he will choose his duty. Despite this, he views Valkyroids as more than just expendable super-soldiers (the way some people do) and treats them as he does to real people.

Gender: Male
Appearance: Wears clear, rectangular glasses on his face, and has neatly-combed, jet black hair. He dons a bleach-white lab coat and undershirt, along with matching pants. His face has a rough beard and some noticeable eye-bags from late nights working.

Arsenal: Talekot doesn't have much in the way of weaponry, but he has a modified Antigua (which he dubs "the Tri-Volver) with a triple magazine he keeps in his office, and pockets when he feels that he is in danger. He has 6 incendiary bullets for emergency situations, kept separate from the regular shots. He can aim it with surprisingly good accuracy. He also has a Calibur, but he isn't very skilled with blades.

Bio: Born and raised on Cradle, Talekot became fascinated with the exotic wildlife at an early age. He read books about Isora, and found Cradle to be much more interesting. He started having a dream of merging lifeforms with machines. Not in order to create some servant or soldier, but rather to create true artificial intelligence; A machine with a soul, as he called it.

As he grew older, he began experimenting on machinery. He managed to get his family's broken Antigua to work again, and even put in his own modifications. He offered his services to Knights by enhancing their weapons and armor. His reputation grew.

The higher-ups of the Spiral Order recognized his skill in handling mechanisms, and put him on the top-secret Valkyroid Project. When he heard that it was about creating a bio-mechanical organism, Talekot joined without hesitation, even though it demanded him to be molded into a loyalist of the Spiral Order. He and many other scientists and inventors were hired to decipher the blueprints to the Valkroids, and construct them. It was in this project that Talekot met a good friend, who was one of the first innovators of the Generation-1 Valkyroids. This man would come to be known as "Khan". they were the same in almost every way. The only difference was that Khan would treat Valkyroids as nothing but usable machines.

The first Valkyroid that Talekot was able construct was an Alpha Valkyroid named Quantum. The Valkyroid had viewed Talekot as his master, but Talekot viewed Quantum as a friend. After a sizable amount of Generation-1 Valkyroids were produced, the Spiral Order began "Operation: Purgatory"; a planet-wide assault on all Clockwork Creatures. The denizens were no match for the Order's new army. Unfortunately, Quantum was severely injured during the initial phases of the operation, to the point that his body was rendered completely unusable. The Order decided to scrap the Alpha Valkyroid, and recycle his parts. Before they did so however, Talekot was able to transfer Quantum's A.I. into a computer terminal at his office. Quantum runs all the machines in Talekot's office (from the lights, to the communication systems)

Soon after the mysterious disappearance of Khan, word had reached the order of a new generation of Valkyroids that could rival, and perhaps defeat their own. The Spiral Order suspected who was behind it, and began putting together a team of specialists to take down Khan before the situation got out of hand.

Talekot was given to job of team adviser, since he was the only one who really knew Khan, along with his real name. He doesn't look forward to facing his old friend, but if it is the command of the Order, then he must comply.

Weapon Application:

Name: Tri-Volver (Modified Antigua Handgun)
Level: 4*
Appearance: Similar to the Antigua handgun, but the revolving barrel is attached to two other barrels on the left and right side, which can be easily slid into the firing chamber to allow for quick reloads.
Damage: Piercing (regular shots) and Fire (if loaded with the incendiary)
Shots: Can fire a total of 18 shots with its three barrels before it needs to be manually reloaded. If the trigger is clicked fast enough, it can fire at the same rate as the Autogun series, but at the cost of accuracy.
Abilities: The regular shots are nothing remarkable, but the custom, incendiary bullets can cause serious damage. If the bullet penetrates the skin of the target then the victim may suffer burns on the internal organs. If it does not penetrate, the flames will spark off the shot and spread if the surface it lands on is flammable.

NOTE: If you accept this application Kaiju, I will need to know what you think Talekot will know about Khan, and possibly his battle tactics. You can message me in-game :).

Proposal IF THAT'S THE CASE!

I run past the Void Zombies and Lumbers that guard our secret Sanctuary. Onky a Sprite or something close to a Clockwork God could manage such a feat. I break through the crowds, and pull out my sword, it's material transparent as a bright green liquid, matching my costume, sloshes around inside. I will the sword to change as I run, and soon I am carrying a huge black axe, it's only coloring blue on the edges. I swing it easily, my arm pivoting it to perfectly decapitate the monsterous Swarm.

I run to the Chasm that drops all the way down to the Core. I run, faster and faster, until at last I jump, and sore. I grin underneath my costume as I feel the air fly past the folds of the cloth. I land perfectly, and my Axe returns to it's sword form as I sling it onto my back. I walk to the front gates of our Sanctuary, the material being a bright green...and alive. This Sanctuary is all one whole creature, the ground being the main part of it's body. It has a turtle head and fins sticking out from it's lower body. The gates pulse, being veins, and swing open. As soon as I'm out of their way, they swing shut, tentacle things on each door hugging each other tight to lock it. I walk to the Council Area, where we, the Sprites, meet. I take off my ceremonial costume, showing my sleeveless dark blue hoodie, decorated to look like the night sky. My pants and shoes match the design.

The leader, the Red Sprite, is dressed differently. Her hair falls in cascades to her waist, it's ever-moving locks floating about. She eyes me warily as her piercing firey eyes lay upon me. Her dress has the same chaotic flair, flames like a supernova moving about. The Green Sprite, the leader's third in command, grins at me annoyingly. His hair spijes in a fauxhawk, and his eyes stand still, simply burning. His clothes, a simple shirt and pants, no shoes, also burn in stillness. He represents a comet, sure of it's course, and undeniably vain of it's own evershining glory. And finally, the Gray Sprite. His hair seems to be frozen in place. When he looks at me, I'm not sure what to feel, for one eye is a bright white hole that seems to love creating and all that it creates, and the other eye is a black hole, absorbing all it wants, all it ever needs.

"Xalin, we were beginning to worry about you." She smiles, but this is a cold, fake smile. "We took this meeting to order because of you. We voted, and your sickening fascination with weapons of war has been brought to justice. You, Xalin Psyciastheros, are hereby exiled from the Commitee of Sprites."

I remember that day well. The reason I have my weapons, and my incredible gifts, in full use. I run through the Wolver Den, outstretching my arms as I run pass the Beasts, filling their skulls with bullets. I see a giant Lumber in the way, and bring my sword from the scabbard across my back. It morphs into an Axe, and I spin fast, chopping it in half.

A dark figure appears, and all goes dark...

Start
I awake, and find myself near the Core. Save me, child, before they find them! The Core says to me. I see them, some Knights, walking toward the Core, holding a large key. As they get closer, the key vibrates, and finally, as they reach it, the key disintegrates, flying into the Core's metal. A loud click, and the Core breaks apart in midair, the pieces floating. I run at the Knights, determined to save the Core, but as my bullets pass through them, I see this is all a memory.

It's happened then.

The illusion disintegrates, and I awake in darkness, with only a crack of light glowing. I get up, and walk toward it. I grip the edge of the door, and swing it open. I see a city full of people and....robots. Not any robots, but Valkyrie-like robots. I walk hesitantly out of the room, feeling the axe behind me turn to a sword with a bright green handle and transparent gray glass with a sloshing bright green liquid in it.

I get a few glances from girls and Valkyrie robots alike, each blushing if I make eye contact. I quickly throw up my hood to cover my eyes, look at the ground, and walk off with hands in pockets. I come to a newspaper stand, and sneak a paper off the table without the vendor noticing. I run into an alleyway and read it. Today is the crowning ceremony of a newly ordained Vanguard, who seems to have been the one who found the Valkyrie robots, or...Valkyroids. I close the paper and rebound myself off the opposite wall, flinging me onto the roof. There. I see the celebration. I will confront the Vanguard. I run, and cloak up, shielding myself from the gaze of onlookers.

PART III

I keep my hood down as I decloak in an alley, rain starting to come down. I walk out and merge with the crowd, getting a few glances for my strange clothing. My arm coil guns getting the most attention. I push towards the front, and that's when disaster happens. The lighting rail over the stage crashes down, the Knight barely surviving. A tall Valkyroid stands, guns retreating into it's arms. It's eyes glow red amidst the rainy mist. I jump, and land gracefully behind it. It spins around, shooting at me, but as soon as it's guns are on I have the sword turning into and axe, pivoting my elbox and each bullet bouncing off the axe harmlessly. I jump over the Valkyroid and land my axe's edge into the floorboards, and balance on the handle while shooting the back of the Valkyroid's head. A missile shoots out from it's back, and I lean all my weight backward and tip the axe out of the floorboards, pickking it up as the missile exploads behind me. I whack the Valkyroid to the side with the flat of the axe, and stand on it's back. I decapitate it quickly and grab one of the blue rosebuds from my belt hidden under my hoodie. I pinch it off and drop it, blue smoke released as I cloak up and run away, leaving the crowd to wonder....

Bio: Think a bulkier iron man suit, with a skull decal as a face mask, core is inserted on the right shoulder, it glows blood red, the body is midnight black with silver moonlight decals, the decals are flames. The core is made up of materials gathered in FSC, when the core is put into overdrive the silver decals glow red, and the suit gains extensive power, at the cost of overheating, like to the point of burning up if over used.
(Will gain access to this after valkyries are discovered, until then will wear a mad bomber set with the shock gloves and shades)

Ugh, sorry for the late post, guys. I have some tests coming up next week, my teachers have been giving me twice as much homework, and I've been busy with swimming, trying to make time to hang out with both friends and my girlfriend, trying to keep my brother and sister out of my room, and other trivial teenage problems.
Gzilla, your character is accepted. However, since I will be playing as Khan, it is acceptable if you create the leader of Tooth and Claw. Azure, your character is accepted. I like the backstory on him, and it fits perfectly with my planned story. He's accepted! ^_^ I'll try to get online and PM you about what Talekot knows as soon as i can. And Seatus, I just have one question about Xalin. He seems not to be related to this story in any way, with no ties to the Valkyroid Project or any other major thing in this story, so how do you propose he should be used? Just asking; I'm curious.

Proposal

The Clockwork's gears rotated slowly and methodically, the rusty yet strong metal supporting an unfathomable amount of land on top.. It was yet another day ordinary day except for... *CLANK!* the noises of the Spiralian crew attempting to pry the Core open broke the silence of the night. A battle hardened, tall, rugged man with a ragged scar down his cheek oversaw the activity, looking on determinedly. Lieutenant Feron. He turned to the woman next to him, was even taller than he and sporting a vast array of weaponry. This was Dezna. "We're almost there. The Core will soon be open..." Feron whispered.
He didn't notice the faint smile on Dezna's face as she nodded.

Meanwhile, activity was going on in the core. A young girl emerged from a dark pod, sparks flying from her body. Her maroon-pink hair fell slowly to her hips like a shampoo commercial come to life. Her majestic pink wings expanded to their full size and beat the still air around her. Surrounding the girl were several identical pods, in which she could make out the forms of several other people. She turned to the blinding light in front of her and listened as the Core whispered in a soft, melodic voice, "They're finally doing it... The Isorans will finally breach my skin and desecrate Cradle's last sanctuary... Sad." The girl cocked her head to the side curiously, and the barely visible form of the woman that was the Core imitated her. It's face became slightly more visible, and the girl could just make out a smile. She heard a voice, no more than a whisper in her mind,

"Yes... Go forth my child. You are my greatest creation. I shall name you... Ikaros. Now, grace the world with your presence, and pave the path for your brothers and sisters to join you. All hail the Uranus Queen..."

As the Core slowly creaked open, the Isorans cheered in delight. They banged shields together, high fived, and made a general ruckus. The commotion finally died down as they were met with a blinding light... And with the glow of two blazing crimson eyes.

Ikaros smiled as she watched Talekot work. She loved to watch the guy tinker with and modify his technology; not only was it entertaining, it was fun to make small talk and joke around with both Tale and his Valkyroid Quantum. She leaned against the wall inside of Tale's personal laboratory and office and grinned up at the camera in the ceiling. "How ya been lately, Quantum? Getting your daily dose of Crystal Energy?" Turning her attention to the computer that functioned as Quantum's face, she noticed a smiley face on the monitor and listened happily as the Type Alpha responded through the speakers in the room, "Good, good. It's been the same old. So, what about you? You're thin as a twig; have you been eating recently?"

Ikaros smiled good-naturedly and nodded as she tapped Talekot on the shoulder. "Hey," she whispered, "Take a rest for once. Look at you; your eye bags have eye bags." The scientist looked at Ikaros wearily, a tired look in his eyes. Ikaros pulled out a pillow from her backpack and gently moved over Talekot's gadgets, then placed the silky soft pillow down on the desk. Tale smiled and immediately plopped his head down on the desk. He was snoring within seconds. With that done, Ikaros sat back in a chair and stretched her legs. Being a Valkyroid, she had no need -or even the ability- to sleep, so she simply engaged in small talk with Quantum for the duration of the night.

She had no idea what was going to happen tomorrow.

Mmmmh yeah you remember that evil scientist? Yeah that one? Okay. Xalin is in a weaker state now that he's exiled. He could cling to the scientist for help, fueling his other projects with Xalin's life force. OR, if it's more relatable, Xalin could basically be a rampaging Sprite driven to keep nature safe, aka The Core. Xalin could become a protective love interest, keeping a would-be darling safe.

I could figure out many ways to use Xalin, though all of them require people.

Talekot's POV

I guess now this is more of a collaborative fiction huh? Oh well, let's see how this goes.

Talekot

The scientist's "office" was surprisingly large, and in truth, served as a laboratory for his personal experiments. The room was almost completely white, with black accents decorating the tiles on the floor. On one wall hung several shelves containing gears, cogs, screws, and a myriad of other metal parts that even an expert would have trouble identifying. On the opposite wall was an impressive computer system, with 3 screens. One large screen in the middle, with two others on either side. It served as both Talekot's personal computer, and a way to access the Spiral Order's immense database of knowledge. It was also the home of his friend and personal assistant, Quantum. With two security cameras hanging on opposite corners of the lab, Quantum could see everything inside.

In the middle of the room was a large table filled with all sorts of tools for taking things apart, and putting them back together. Talekot was tinkering with a Blaster Handgun. Behind him, the Valkyroid Ikaros was sitting in a spare chair, speaking to Quantum though the security cameras. Talekot paid no heed to their conversation as he was busy at the moment. He was attempting to find a way to focus the charge blast of the gun, as the large shot was bigger than most of its targets, and a majority of the energy ended up dissipating uselessly into the air.

... so if I adjust the inner frame slightly, and make the exit barrel longer, the charged shot should become more focused... He thought to himself as he began taking apart the handgun once more, this was his 7th attempt at improving it in the same night, as all the previous ones had ended up either malfunctioning, or harming the user.

He felt a tap on his back just as he finished dividing the weapon into 2 halves. "Hey, take a rest for once. Look at you; your eye bags have eye bags." Ikaros whispered. Talekot looked at the Valkyroid, unsure if he should agree or not. This design could be the one I was looking for, but then again I haven't slept in 3 days... and the side-effects of all those energy drinks I've taken are starting to kick in...

Without waiting for an answer, Ikaros pushed away all the items on his table to the side, and placed a pillow on the top. That sealed the deal for Talekot. I suppose a nap wouldn't hurt He thought. He fell asleep in a matter of seconds.

"One more experiment, my friend! One more is all we need for their secrets to be unveiled to us. We will have the knowledge the create as many of them as we need." A deep and commanding voice said. "But... it's not right... We can't just take them apart like any old machine!" Talekot responded. "They ARE machines! They are elaborate mechanisms built to mirror emotion and fight with cold efficiency. You honestly do not believe that they are actual people, do you?" The voice responded. "We... we can't go through with this... There has to be another way... Tale replied with wavering resolve. "I'm sorry Tale, but a little evil must be done, for a greater good..."

By the time Talekot had awakened, sunlight was streaming into the room, and Ikaros was nowhere around. "Good morning, sir!" Quantum said through the speakers. The scientist rubbed his eyes. "What time is it, Quantum?" He asked. "It's a few minutes past 9 in the morning, sir. You also have a missed call from Commander Ozlo. I told him you were still asleep." The AI replied. Talekot did a double-take. "Commander Ozlo? What would he want with me?" Talekot asked Quantum, wondering what was so important that the leader of the Spiral Order, and head of Spiral HQ would contact him personally. "I don't know, sir... He wouldn't tell me anything other than the fact that he'd only speak to you." Quantum replied.

Talekot pondered for a moment, and then gave orders to Quantum. "Contact Commander Ozlo's office. I'd like to know what he wants." He said. "Yes sir." Quantum replied as the computer system began working on its own. I hope it's not a problem with the Valkyroids, or... him... Talekot thought worriedly.
