I haven't been able to find a guild yet, I have just been doing random runs, and up to Tier 2 that was fine. In Tier 3 I have gotten runs where people want to skip all the enemies because they hit like trucks etc or there are too many, many a group has disbanded over the graveyards, and only once did I get lucky and get seated with a good group that got to the bottom. I may be part of the problem - I only have 2 5 star pieces of equipment. Where can I go to "train" for T3? Run T2 and try to not get hit, ever? Or is it not me and T3 requires coordination beyond "avoid bad stuff and whack things with your sword", which is what T2 was partly with the exception of "use vials on king"?

PS: why is my Blackhawk not dealing piercing damage to beasts or shadow damage to slimes/germlins? It appears to hit for whichever damage type is least effective i.e as piercing vs contructs but not vs beasts.

Play lots of twitchy based

Play lots of twitchy based shooters, like quake live. Play Demon's Souls for the PS3. Learn to coop with games that are not going to hold your hand for you.

Also, move around a lot. Also do runs by yourself. Doing runs with more people = more difficult enemies.

for your gun it is doing

for your gun it is doing both, however resistances are stronger then weaknesses.

Here is a rough example that is by no means accurate but serves to illustrate the point.

Your gun is supposed to do 40 damage per shot of piercing/shadow. What it is actually doing is 20 pierce and 20 shadow

It would do 40 to something neutral to both, however that is not the case, the slime for example is weak to shadow but strong to piercing.

So the 20 shadow boosts and does 25 damage, however the 20 pierce resists and only does 10 damage. Your shot ends up doing 35 damage and shows up as grey because it is less then it should. Note however that it is only doing a little less, its not like its being fully resisted.

Basically the antigua line is decent because it doesnt fully boost on anything, but it doesnt fully resist either, its average against everything (even though it shows up grey frequently)

Add me

Hey, I'm also working on getting better at T3, so I don't have any deep insights but add me if you're looking for people to run with: ign Kaley.

Also some T3 levels are much easier than others. I found the beast/jigsaw levels in T3 to be very manageable, so that could be one good place to start. On the other hand shock/devilite levels are really hard, so I stay away from those unless I'm in a good group.
