I think it's cool that they add weapons / armor available only for limited times, but equivalent to other weapons. For example, Scissor Blades are only occasionally available to rich players. The Honor blades / shields from the release of the Guild Hall update (I think? something like that, I wasn't here for it) and won't be available again (I don't think).

Would be sweet if more events occured that offered weapons / armor with the same stats but entirely different looking designs.
