Darkfang Menders are the most overpowered enemy in the game, please nerf.
So, the new enemy health bar made me realize
Except you can outdamage them with any 4* or 5* shadow weapon you can get your hands on, short of the Graviton Bomb.
I'm inclined to agree with Tutajkk, but only to a degree.
Easiest way of killing the little [cogs] is cursing them. Short of that, the player can poison everything, or dump shadow weapon charges everywhere.
These guys are only overpowered if you can't do the above; it's a sort of forced strategy that makes them very difficult for people who don't like the shadow weapons available (or simply are planning ahead and are focused on more important things at the time).
Or you could, you know, focus down the healers. Like in every other game with healers since the dawn of time. Unless you bring pure elemental weapons only, they don't take much to kill.
"Completely defenseless enemy who only heals enemies is too hard for me to kill, please nerf"
The even funnier part is you only wanted the nerf after you saw health bars, and apparently, you were fine with menders pre UI nerf.

True, although they tend to have a bad habit of getting in an awkward place, i.e. on the other side of a wall of Mecha Knights with their healy friends. Not easy to kill them then. Less so when they're spamming heals, left right and center.
usually I have knockback weapons with me in one of those stratums. also, if you can use them, alchemers (aka, umbra series) help.
Yeah. Menders are a bit ridiculous. But they're not the end of the world.
For those who are saying they don't take much to kill and defenseless, you are forgetting the constant dodge spam and the shield which takes like twice as much damage to destroy, than the Mender itself. Of course, I don't have problems with them when just randomly appears, but on arenas, they are pretty annoying.
r u guys SERIOUSLY trying to nerf another monster in SK? wat the FUDGE is wrong with u people?... just.. go away PLS.. sigh.....
Just to contribute, I've always thought that the mender's shield ability was always a little ridiculous. Comes up too fast, takes too much punishment, doesn't really fit in considering the other monster abilities. Not that I have any problem with menders, just saying.
On the topic of healers and totally unnecessary nerfs, I think Silkwings need significantly less health, that or a different graphic. They take so much punishment. And they're just stupid little butterflies. It doesn't make any sense. -.-
Menders don't do much mending with a Callahan bullet lodged in their skull.
Drop a Venom Veiler. You now have the most overpowered enemy in the game killing enemies for you.
with a WHB I can kill one losing from 3 to 7 pips if the room is filled with things. it's far worse if they are 2 and reviving themselves.
Just because you can't kill an enemy easily with a certain weapon, doesn't mean they should be nerfed.
Look what happened to Wolvers, Zombies and Retrodes since people who only use Swords had a whinge.
I'd've thought Swordsmen wouldn't have any trouble with Wolvers and Zombies (Not too sure about Retrodes).
I may have started playing after the nerf, so that's just an opinion.
Back during beta, darkfang menders had a strong projectile attack, a fast wand melee strike, and far more HP. And they often came in groups.
Oh, and if I remember correctly, the venom veiler wasn't craftable yet back then. Trust me, the menders you're used to fighting have been pretty thoroughly nerfed as is.
Replace current Darkfang menders with what Pauling said. Beep you, softie mender that I can easy kill with 2 combos of a Granny.

They were able to turn on a dime while attacking, pretty much making it very difficult to safely engage them in melee while they were winding up a swing/bite
It was much safer to gun or bomb them, or use certain sword's charges. However some people found it necessary to complain about them so they got a nerf.
I kill that things using storm driver....yeah...because I am so bored and not laggy at that time...it was fun! everone should try it :D
Give us the old DF menders, then Clockworks will be semi-challenging.
with a GF you kill everyone pretty well. anyway, his is one of the things I would have liked to point out in my threat that I decided not to make because of too much hate. anyway.
yes, menders on t3 practically fully heal everything. it shouldn't be so.
