so i have some friends rage quitting saying the game's drop mechanics are rigged (not random) can anyone enlighten me to whats really going on behind the scenes?
Drop Mechanics (lockboxes and other-boxes)
Edit: I pontificated on some probabilities that your friend should compute, but there were some errors, so I'll withdraw my incompetent comment. :)
I have learned that a computer is not capable of generating totally random numbers in my AP computer class
Although very hard to track, it uses the clock of the computer and its nanoseconds which no human can calculate. so to your understanding, IT IS RANDOM
oh i know about /dev/random, $random is my favorite bash variable and pinkie pie my favorite pony, im just wondering if OOO/SK is using random i think i saw a thread in in the s3cret GM's forum about poeple having luck variables like reddit up/down voting say if you get hit with lots of /complain or are a generally helpful person and /bug ;D
The gm forum that was visible in april fools day isn't a reliable source of information. Everything there is meant to be a joke and not official
cant get anything past troupe
but seriously im hinting at a deeper conspiracy like when im on fire or 1 tap away from defeating vana a lava block falls on me and really sets me on fire, percentage changes like if you bought X amount into the game (epass/energy) your rare drop ratio is "Secretly" increased (you get what you put in) i have a few more theories...
Have all the wild delusions and conspiracy theories you want. You can't meassure luck or coincidence. Nothing will prove or dissprove anything. Unless you gather data from every player... but guess what, players can lie to you, runining the exepriment.
Now I'll hide this piece of code I found...
Well I've bought a fairly large amount of elevator passes and such but the drops I get from boxes are still terribad
My brother opened 6 boxes, he is only a squire.
I took him on the missions for cakes.
He got 2 prismatic party hats, 1 prismatic candle, 1 volcanic candle, cool blowout, fancy party hat
if you've recently unlocked a lockbox, the prize wheel gives you more iron lockboxes to "keep up the flow"
They're entirely random. He's just angry because others are getting very lucky or he is being very unlucky.
