Since the last split specialty damage weapon was removed from game / altered (however you want to look at it), I think some of these types of weapons could be added in the game as rare drops.

Rare, because there doesn't exist enough rare drops in this game and split specialty damage was considered too "niche" and "didn't have enough uses". Due to their weaknesses, it should be considered something special to own a split specialty damage weapon.

Could possibly add something like "Antique Argent Peacemaker" as well as "Reforged Sentenza", names can be whatever I don't really mind.

Antique Argent Peacemaker - has the AP's old Elemental + Piercing, but it may or may not retain the new medium damage bonus to undead. I couldn't decide whether to or not to keep.

Reforged Sentenza - Has Sent's old Shadow + Piercing. Same deal with this damage bonus.

The new/old (however you want to look at it) AP has a very low chance to drop from bolt buckets (the things that very rarely have crowns in them) which will now be placed more often in deconstruction zones.

The new/old Sent has a very low chance to drop from smashed graves in graveyards.

Don't see why not

And have the old shard bombs drop extremely rarely from minerals.

As for the suggestion, I really, really doubt it.

Just like that? Just "drop" 5 star weapons randomly?

Preparing flame-proof bunker

I don't like the drop method.

My (worse) idea: Give them different names, make them upgrades for the Silversix/Blackhawk and remove the bonuses.

Before I go into my flame-proof bunker, would a Shadow/Pierce weapon do critical damage or normal vs Slimes/Fiends?

Shadow/Pierce would be half resisted by both Slimes and Fiends. You could call it the "normal" damage, but it would still be different from the normal damage the weapon would inflict on Shankles.

Fairly sure the old AP and Sentenza did less damage to 4 families, and only a smidgen more to 2. It was a pretty miserable setup. They were kind of a "midway" between Normal and Specialized damage.

Or perhaps we could go on some sort of quest towards attaining them? I'd kind of like to see rare enemies drop some kind of rare materials that, when used on an argent peacemaker "restored it" to dealing split damage. This would also allow for players with UVs aimed at a fiends/beasts to restore their antigua variant back to dealing piercing.

And I think that Nick/someone might be against split damage weapons for whatever reason, so this thread is probably moot to a large degree.

And @Hexzyle-

Hint: It doesn't matter how much it does due to being dual specialized- it's kind of like the logical fallacy of "Ice Alchemer breaks it's own ice!" in a way, it's relative only to itself, which means that the devs can just increase it's damage outputs, and then look at that- good damage compared to other items. And that might make it's damage vs non-specialized things go up but that's what? Shankles? Go way up, but so what? They're shankles.
