Aim-To-Kill

I'd like to suggest a "Spiral Knights Time (SKT)". A Spiral Knights time zone to be displayed somewhere on screen.

This would really help when people from different parts of the world want to meet together in the Guild Hall or maybe in Haven to chat or do a mission together.

I'd be like, "We'll be holding a big event in Guild Hall at 6pm so be sure to be on!" and everyone can check their SKT and see how long it is till 6pm SKT.
Or maybe, "I'll be back online at 2.30pm SKT, meet you then!"
Orrr......, "Let's go for a vana run at 8pm SKT ok?"

The point is, this Spiral Knights Time will makes things much more convenient when people wanna meet up.
I know that the time in Spiral Knights is follwing PST, right? But some people from other parts of the world are just too lazy to constantly check PST time, ya know? (me being one of them...... =P)

I really hope you'd take this into consideration. It would really make the game more convenient and enjoyable xD

This suggestion is "do extra work because I am lazy, OOO."

my 2 cents

Kinda hard to look to your left and watch and actual physical watch/clock...

Or alt+tab

Or make a widget yourself

Or download a widget

Or take your watch in the corner of your screen

Or buy a watch and put it around your wrist

People know when you will be back when you say "brb in 20 minutes" or "I'll go eat then take the dog for a walk and be back in an hour"

They don't have to know what timezone you are on

Useless IMO

Edit: And Teamspeak, Mumble or Skype really put this suggestion into the "why do we need this... honestly why?" category

No, it's not lazy Klipnik and no, Shameanal, it's not useless.
"They don't have to know what timezone you are on" - yes, they do have to know which timezone you are on when you tell them you'll be online at 8 tomorrow. It's all about timezones, every decent game has a clock showing a server time. And it's not "lazy" because it addresses a problem you can not solve yourself.
In fact this has been suggested half a million times and recieved a lot of positive feedback. It's a mystery why OOO didn't implement it in the new UI.

Telling people to just use teamspeak or mumble is a really weak argument. No, let me rephrase that: it's no argument at all.

Halo, Super Smash Bros, Mario, Zelda, Star Fox, Diablo II, Quake III, Final Fantasy had that? Wait... no...

It wasn't an argument but merely just a tip. I know my friend lives in France and I know I live in Quebec, I have to deduct 6 hours. See how simple it is?

Knowing where your friend lives and what timezone they are on is more important than having a clock in-game

Are you that ignorant or just pretending to be?

Really? Halo? Mario? ZELDA?! Why do I even have to bother with this level of stupid? Those are either offline games (3, 4, 5, to some point 8), games without an actual market system or any need for interaction beyond "Do something now!" (1, 2, 7), or DO have a clock for online gaming (the online Final Fantasy MMOs both have a time system as well as Diablo 3).
So whenever you trade with someone you tell them that you live in Quebec and how they can calculate the time to match it with yours? Intresting. I bet not even all those in your guild now that.
It's fine that you know where your one friend lives and that you do have the time and boredom to calculate the time over there, but such a narrow viewpoint doesn't apply at all.

Wait a minute.

This really is the most misunderstood topic. Or I misunderstand it. Some sort of clocktower could be placed in the middle of the fountain at haven, and could display a general time for all players :D.
