I never see any on the AH and the Wiki says that they only appear in featured auctions.

I've played the game for over a year and never saw them on AH.
They do they reappear on certain days in a specific time zone? It's not really fair... >W<
I'd rather stay up till 3AM than spend 700K + just for a hat.
I imagine it's never ending lucrative cycle to whoever buys them out all the time...

Yup, the same people just buy them all and re-sell it as soon as it gets into featured but it seems like OOO it's ok with this so there's not much we can do.

Yes they exist (i have both of them so i dont have to worry to add them to my collection) but instant bought sadly.. i got my violet chapeu in wednesday around 9 pm (GMT -6) i was done with a vana run then checked AH and found 5 violet chapeus and 5 coral chapeus... so i managed to buy 1 coral for myself and 1 coral for a friend. when i opened again the Featured section on AH all of chapeus were gone...
but yeah nothing we can do since OOO likes to being lazy and let some campers make profit with it. but oh well thats the market :P

Wouldn't it make more sense
Wouldn't it make more sense to have the item sink as a constant?
If they were always around it would decrease the scalping value, but 495K for either piece anytime you want, for any one player sounds like a good sink to me.
On a separate note, are the hats put on the AH before or after a reboot?
The answer would be important because of the time it takes to log in after a reboot is variable to different people.
Still not sure what time they typically appear.
