Potential Gunslinger Build

I've been playing SK on and off since Beta, but for most of that time I've stuck with using a Silversix/Argent Peacemaker for most of my damage, with an accompanying sword for when elemental damage doesn't cut it (Currently Nightblade).
This has gotten me very comfortable with how the Antiqua guns work and I'd like to stick with them.

My current loadout is as follows:

>Argent Peacemaker
>Nightblade
>Sunset Duster
>Sunset Stetson
>Mighty Defender

This build has been doing me fine for quite a while, but I was wondering whether the following build would be possible, s it sounds like something I'd want to aim for:

>Argent Peacemaker
>Sentenza
>Shadowsun Slicker
>Shadowsun Stetson
>Mighty Defender

My thinking behind the Shadowsun gear is that I can only fire as fast as I can click with the Antigua guns, so the other gunslinger armour wouldn't be all that useful as they give attack speed, whereas Shadowsun gear offers extra damage.

If I'm being idiotic please let me know now before I go committing myself to a really bad idea. :P

Why would you aim for Mighty

Why would you aim for Mighty Defender? You already have it.
If you don't mind about having a weak defence shield, then take Swiftstrike Buckler for its universal ASI High bonus.

And I predict someone is going to mention about how awesome alchemers are, so I'm not gonna say anything.

I'm not really sure which

I'm not really sure which shield to aim for, so I figured I'd stick with what I have until I have my other gear sorted. Will definitely take a look at that Swiftstrike Buckler, although isn't it a bit pointless for the guns I'm going for?

As for alchemers, I'd rather not have to get out of the habits that I've already acquired. I just like Antigua guns too much. :P

asi helps on any weapons, the most important thing is that you can cancel your attack faster (with or without shield) and avoid the monster attack. Once you see autogun burst damage and alchemer 5* ricochets, antigua seems only deal mediocre damage, btw.

I value the ease of use of antigua guns rather than potential damage. I've used alchemers and really disliked them, I figure why use a weapon which spoils the game for me?

@Baako

Agreed. Now, I personally find enjoyment in skillfully using my gear, so I might find alchemers fun, but I'm not you. Antigua-line guns are pretty awesome IMO, and kill things satisfyingly quickly with a good damage bonus.

So yeah, use a gun that's fun for you. I mean, people diss the troikas and magnuses as being underpowered, but heck, they're really fun to use sometimes, so don't let underpoweredness stop you.

And Antiguas aren't even underpowered (though weaker than alchemers), so you're golden. You've got a gun you like that kills things competitively; what more could a player ask for? :D

Watch out for carpal tunnel though - Antiguas require a lot of clicking. I sometimes find myself switching from my AP to DA for that reason alone.

@Thinslayer CTR boosted

@Thinslayer CTR boosted Troika is very fun, it's like a Nitronome.

Use the 2 extra Attack2/3 binds on the mouse wheel, save you lots of work(and your health).
Swapping out for a Storm Driver is a possibility, shock slows down enemies, and deals damage to offset the 2 ammo issue.

Senteza doesn't look that

Senteza doesn't look that good in theory. Gremlins avoid gunfire like crazy and Jelly enemies can be dispatched easily with a neutral damage weapon. Maybe a Flourish-type weapon in addendum to get those pesky wolvers and devilites?
I only have experience with the Snarbolax variant, so I don't know about the other three.

Sentenza is a neat gun.

Sent is aimed towards killing gremlins - since they dodge A LOT, the faster bullets than an Umbra Driver or Biohazard makes it a lot easier to kill them than with any other gun. Plus it has an innate Gremlin Med damage buff, so I think I can safely guess why the devs made it as it is.

So in contrast to Waywardo, the Sentenza is actually good in practice too.

The problem with Sentenza is that it's very bad at taking out menders, because it's slow to crack their shield, and can't burst them down before they activate it like Umbra Driver can. Umbra charge spam will take out groups of gremlins far faster than Sentenza, and is better against slimes and neutral enemies to boot.

I had a Gremlin VH (so max total) Sentenza for a long time, and only recently got a CTR med Umbra Driver. The Umbra is better against everything, everywhere except IMF.
