TF2 Spiral Sallet Question

I was just wondering...

I've been playing spiral knights from the website (spiralknights.com) but only recently realized that spiral knights can be played from Steam. I also learned that I can link my spiralknights.com account to my Steam account. Lastly, I learned that you can get a hat in Team Fortress 2 from playing spiral knights through Steam and getting a certain achievement.

I'm wondering if i can still get this promotional hat even if my character in spiralknights.com has already gotten the achievement (i'm quite positive that I already have this achievement. The achievement is an early game achievement called "Mission Accomplished" or something like that).

side note* I haven't connected my spiralknights.com account to my Steam account yet.

Just connect your SK account to Steam and as long as you have accomplished the achievement, you will get the hat.

However, note that you cannot unlink the accounts once they're connected (and you will always have to play it from steam)

Alternatively, you could make a steam account on spiral knights, (not by linking your non-steam version to steam) open up both versions at once, go to the depth 4 terminal with your first character (or any terminal, they all work) and invite your steam character.

make a new knight on steam

make a new knight on steam (you then have 2 knights and if your first knight ever bought CE or the DLC you don't have a shared mistpool)

you only have to reach T1 basil... (and offcourse complete the tutorial)
