This is a new idea (I think), which there are new zones/events only open to people with high enough prestige,
so presitge is actually worth something.
For example:
New Levels
Lotteries
etc
Prestige lock

I can see prestige becoming
I can see prestige becoming something like a pre-req for some pretty nifty features in the future (ie; discounts on supply depot items, making keys and everything else much more affordable, less energy req. for revives, and or elevators, etc.) but I would never suggest "Locking" it.
many of the players who currently play regularly, only have a fraction of the prestige required for vanguard, and they play at least a few times a week. I am still blown away at how much prestige some of the players have, and maybe for those who have far surpassed "vanguard", they deserve something special, but I wouldn't say other players shouldn't be able to obtain anymore. at least give the player base a little warning, and enough time to catch up if it's that important.

misconception
Prestige is not required to reach vanguard rank, and that little horse badge doesn't mean you're a vanguard.
Please man.
Lotteries/Raffles? Eh, I'm neutral.
But not for levels.
That's just the opposite of what we need forthe game.
