better take this out before it slips away from my mind to another.

this thing has been suggested many... no, that is not enough.
this thing has been suggested 1E9001 times, but I have come to a solution that will make many happy.
yes, 1vs1 PvP. the problem is: if you can choose your opponent, it's simple to farm. now remove the first part. you cannot choose your opponent. also, it can't be your friend nor of your guild, and it can't have your same IP adress. that should do.
now, the fee should be the same. rewards are always the same. the bribe system is ok.
the fight could be in an arena style thing (superbrawl) or in rooms with tactical advantages (LD without lobbies). spawning points are chosen randomly. it can spawn next to where you are or on the other side of the map.
no classes. should be divided in average star rating and not in tiers. now, UVs or not UVs. that is the question. obviously not UV. they would advantage too much players with them.
that is enough for me. tell me if I missed something.

You forgot that One V. One would be the only thing that gets traffic (look at what happened to blast network.), health trinkets, swords would be OP against a bomb/someone who focuses on support, fast weapons would be useless against invincible frames, and if you remove it, they would be OP (blitz), lagging just a little would kill you, large maps are bad ideas for 1v1 (you didn't say this, just pointing out.), what's the score to, and the fact that due to gear unbalances, this will be unfair without any uniqueness. Good day, the others will get whatever I missed. Oh, and don't be discouraged, just think your suggestion through a little more before posting. Try looking at things from uncommon angles.

those are problems of the general PvP. LD has them too. exept that thing I didn't mention.
I'm not a newb, I know how things work. I disagree on bombs. VT + AoA can kill someone. it would take a while, but it can be.
a thought on gear: well, having standard gear would render useless tier fractioning; some newly implemented PvP ranks would be better. if you keep players's gear, yes, it could be a battle of clones. like LD. which is the main reason why I didn't post that.
about score: based on kills. maybe something like a timer that weakens you if you stay for a really long time.

Yeah, I know. However, the problems would be much more apparent in 1v1. With bombs, I meant that they would be interrupted instantly by the other player, unless you have amazing CTR UV's, which apparently you can't have. Going AFK / having to talk with someone would instantly make you lose, and i don't feel we should have another game where gear does not matter until all the gear gets balance, sorry. Again, no hard feelings.

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

You realize what he's saying is that many weapons (bombs in particular) rely on allies to help get a good setup. 1v1 would encourage more cloning because your only goal is to kill the opponent, something which should be avoided. It would be less lag compatible. (you can't rely on allies to help you when you suddenly have a lag spike)

In the beta it was bad enough when you had a FoA, but 1v1 would be really bad. >.<

EDIT: solution found. maybe.
could it be based on tier and type of weapon? (sword-gun-bomb) that would solve the problem of getting always the same gear ect.
for hybrid people, there would be hybrid selection (sword-gun or gun-bomb or sword-bomb, or all of three).
the problem are weapon slots. one can have 3 swords and one bomb or gun. restricting to have same weaponry type could lead to find no one that battles. suggestions?

There have been several threads on this, but I still agree with it. 4v4 Guild lockdown would be nice too.
