First wanna say, i love the new UI. Now..
Since it has come in, I've had several issues including this one.
Randomly I'll get your regular Java crap garbage collector spike, then the server kicks me or...
I'll stay connected, and the chat box wont work, the minimap wont work, health wont register, in LD the caps wont change and the game will not end... like only half the game is working.

The 0% health has nothing to do with the Last Stand mechanic. It's a result of the health overview percentage rounding down or to closest instead of up.
With the old system, which rounded up, it was impossible to have 0 bars while still alive, but it was possible to have full bars without having full health.
Alright, so it's just a graphical misjudgment? And isn't last stand applied now at "0%" then 1%?
Last stand, the "Guts effect", or whatever you want to call it always puts you at 1 pip, leaving just enough health to revive one person. I highly doubt this has changed.
Basically you have around 0.1% health.
He has 15 pips, so each percent means 6 health. That means he'd have either 1 or 2 health, assuming health is rounded to closest percentile.
Goodness. I thought sonicmode/lastchance/undersht/oncemore started at 1%.
He has LESS than 1% of his total health.
I'm really confused. How do people confuse (in regards to "Sonic Mode") 1% of health with 1 bar of health? Are people usually running around with 4,000 HP?

1 bar of health isn't necessarily 1%, and "Sonic mode" refers less to the actual bars of HP the player has and more to the concept that if they are damaged once at that level of HP, they will die.
I was just expressing mild amazement in the fact that he somehow managed to get cut down to %0.x of his total hp. I've never seen that happen before.
You can get hit in sonic mode and live, if the attack does less than one bar of damage.
I tried it in FSC using Proto and you get hit, you have 1 bar left.
However if you have luck using the right armor. you should be able to get Adv. sonic mode. (no rings or 0ish% health)

Am i the only one here that believes the apples to oranges relationship between the damage we deal out & receive is a wee bit incongruous and confusing? Inflicting damage in PvE is always giving us a numeric value, yet we recieve damage relative to how many bars we lose in our health meter. I can understand and appreciate the challenged the development team of this game has when it comes to these two mechanics, but will we ever truly be able to reconcile these two different values?
On topic: I and several of my guildies have had this happen to us, more than once. So not a bug as much as a flaw the way the percentage really works/is really calculated. Hope no monster breathes on you, that might do you in xP
