It costs $6 for an elevator pass and $5 for 1600 CE. So If I were to buy a $10 steam card and I want an elevator pass, I would end up having $4 left over with nothing to spend it on. So the only option I have is to buy 1600 x 2 CE?

Like OCH when it's on rebates :D
Or wait till you do the same in a month, after 3 months you'll have 12$ laying around for extras ^ ^
Edit: So after 3 months of saving that 4$ you can get yourself 2 more months... not bad huh?

Operation Crimson Hammer
Operation Crimson Hammer is the first (and up to this point only) expansion pack for the game. It's a mission set where you assault a Gremlin fortress, and there's a version of it for each of the three tiers. Beating each tier for the first time gives you an Elemental sword and Shadow bomb of that tier level, as well as some materials you can use to craft a helm that's useful for gunners.
Think of it this way. if you bought 1600 CE X2, that's 1600 CE + 160 floors, + mist used for elevator. If you think you'll run less than 160 floors at any one point when you are completely out of mist, just go for the 1600CE. then you get to save CE if you dont run that much, rather than waste ele pass time whether or not you run.
