Also, if you're bored, I recommend setting new challenges for yourself such as getting 30k+ with 3 guns and a flourish. The absence of a gran faust will satisfy spectators and/or players in-game, but no matter what, there will always be complainers.

Whilst they are some impressive numbers, you're playing against randoms with a full 4-bar connection.
I got this with a constant 1-bar (~400ms ping) against one of the game's most dangerous guilds (it holds the record for most wins against the Jempire!). I'll be really impressed when you can do something like that.

41k is awesome considering it was reached in under 8 minutes and hydrohaze was stealing some of that damage as well judging by his 20k score.
Dragneel, how you gonna bring up his connection speed... then immediately say bringing up said connection speed will lead to flame wars.

I was originally gonna come in and say anyone can lobby shop (i.e. hunt around for scrub lobbies to try and go for numbers instead of wins) but there were a few screenshots with notable LD players both on and off his team.
Most I'll say is "eh" either way - I've never been keen on damage-hunting if I can help it but kudos to you for racking up larger numbers than most LD players will see in RLD.

Damage are the fundamental part of LD.
Damage means you stop the other team from capture your point, that you killed them and make them wait 10 - 20 secs for another chance to fight you again..
Big damage means that you bother the opposite team WAY MORE than low damage players.
Big damage players makes big differences
Big damage players makes the opposite team ragequit
Big damage players makes teams like Jemp ce rez, over and over again up to infinity
Big damage players makes noobs use brandish + AT to get a chance
Big damage players can take down an entire team while the noobs captures
Big damage players never use AT.

I've been in the same situation lot of times.
Is hard to carry a team with 1 or 2 ppl less, and that also explains the big damages.
Big scores are always in close matches, and be sure that without the "big damage player" the match wouldn't end as close as the ones Dark shows.
Anyone can cap, but not anyone can get over 40k, not mention 50k (I'm not even sure if someone else got it already).

@Spookington; With picture as proof, Sushh owns the highest recorded damage number. It's very close to 43k. I'm second alongside some of my guild mates and a few others around the LD community at 42k. 3rd is Darkcub and Vokster(not sure if he got 41k or..) at 41k.
@Everyone that has or will insult/offend Feller; Damage is not everything, correct, but it is something. The three stats help your team in some way which leads to a victory. In my personal opinion, someone who caps 20 and defends 5 is equal to a 40k damage 0 cap, 0 defend. I also believe that people who can do all three are the best players in LD.
@Feller; 50k has not been reached but it is possible.

Also want to mention that the capture score doesn't actually reflect the amount of time anyone spends capturing. you can earn a capture simply by running over a point at the last second one of your team-mates takes it.
Like-wise you could spend all your time capping points and being chased off last second resulting in no cap.
Defends are simply kills you get when you're standing by one of your own points, and while it's usually a good indicator that someone with 10 defends is good at winning games,where you were standing when you killed someone is a fairly arbitrary statistic, not to mention those kills could be people on 0 health and you just stole the kill.
If captures showed the length of time stood on points during the game and defends somehow included the amount of damage you did on a point then it would be a better show of good teamwork.
Random sidenote; seeing as damage is a very striker oriented stat, it would be cool to see stats for how many deathmarks recons did and how much damage guardians blocked for their team-mates.

Are my hypocrisy senses tingling? You're saying rude things in that post, and you even specifically said "The Jempire".
Your damage statements don't make your point. You always get zero captures. You get a lot of damage, but you only get like two defends. It's like you only play Lockdown to duel. How about you capture the points after you make an effort of defending them? How about you defend the points when they're ACTUALLY captured instead of running off the map to fight others at the beginning of the game.
Capturing is what makes you good at Lockdown. Although it seems like damage takes more skill, it won't benefit your team JUST to get damage. You can when an entire game weaponless if your opposing team has weapons, but they won't focus on capturing at all. That's like saying I'm bad at basketball because I didn't do any cool dribbling tricks yet I get the ball into the net while the other players just focus on looking cool. Next time you make fun of someone with low damages think about your captures. You say captures are simple to get yet you can't do a simple thing like that and get one. Lockdown is about capturing. If you're saying capturing doesn't make you skilled and damage does, you're describing Super Brawl. Defends and captures make you skilled, but you going around hitting everyone randomly off of a control point is not skilled. Damage makes you win in Super Brawl, but captures make you win in Lockdown. If you're saying that damage matters like that you don't realize the variation between Super Brawl and Lockdown. Super Brawl was removed, and Lockdown was added yet people are treating them like the same thing.
No captures make you bad in Lockdown if they're that simple to do yet you're so bad at it; you can't even get one.

Nice damage darkcab
It is very impressive but i'm going to have to agree with dragneel here, the server connection is one of the main reason that you can dominate people to this extremity and the fact that i believe that over 50% of LD players are lagging/high-latency in excess of 250ms and as of such, I don't think you can consider that video to be trolling unless you got those numbers with just a neutralizer. Double swinging with a DA/GF or firing multiple Flourish hits in close vicinity is overpowered because the other player usually cannot react in time to dodge due to network issues not to mention the camera angles which are kind of ridiculous.
To put it in perspective, its impressive like playing a few chords on a guitar but not Yngwie Malmsteen finger wizard shred impressive.
What Felcher said is mostly correct except the part about captors being noobs, damage although integral is not the absolute determinant of the outcome of the game obviously. I cant even tell the difference between AT and non-AT. Stuff all looks the same to me from an aussie perspective.
@troupe I'm pretty sure aussies get even higher latency than that because those external ping measurements might travel an optimized route. That damage is impressive but i can think of several ways to discredit your achievement.
1. you have an organized team who might be setting up free hits for you or provide you with cover-fire/backup.
2. you could've used Rocket Hammer/swords and/or AT with or without ASI UVs all of which are an equalizer for high pingers.
3. missing the randomness of RLD where anything goes and team compositions usually seem crazy unbalanced.
4. energy rev for more face time, not a big deal because its your energy you do what the hell you want with it.
If you did utilized those features, it's cool because from where we're playing you'll definitely need them.
I think we should all follow blueflood or icegill's suggestion to switch it up more and be innovative with our loadouts. I sold my ASI H GF and since then haven't been able to get even a 15k+ dmg anymore let alone a consistent 10k+!!!! I'm approaching insanity even attempting to play gunner style.

I've seen some crazy scores, before the LD points patch. Before that patch we were only 3 people with over 40k damage in LD, and one of those was fake (Chris).

@Feller; 43k is the most. Legit. You can believe what you want, you can believe a 60k pic for all I care. Nalfayi posted a picture of 44k which was fake. Chris posted plenty of fake pictures. List goes on. Anyone can get a friend on the opposite team and get a legit-looking picture of 50k.
Also, I go by pictures. If someone has gotten 50k and chooses to keep it private, that's their decision. The highest (Picture proof) is 43k.

@Grug, I can assure you that that level of damage is much more than just a good connection. I have a stable 4 bar connection, and my damage record in T3 (with 4* weapons and no UVs or AA/AT) is only 11k. To get 3 times that takes skill. And playing gunner with a bad connection... not a good idea in my book. :P
@OP, I find it funny that the highest number of caps you got was 2. And I was in one of those screens, right under you, with 9 caps and my third highest damage in T3 of 10k-ish. One thing that no one mentioned, though... getting lots of defends is also good. Caps and defends are equally important in my opinion.

Why is that ridiculous? I got 30k myself in a match of 4v4 and the match ended with the timer at 4:59. It might be crazy to get 42k in a match like that, but anything can be done.

And you base your assumptions on a 25% of people who have been asked? That means that there is 75% that didn't agree or didn't say anything, right? What does that mean?
