According to the wiki, the heater shield isn't in a set, however it has the exact same stats as the Bombastic Demo set and I think it should be.

And....? Will you add a bomb bonus or something? Because making it a set means nothing.

Also, having same stats means they are a set? you might want to look at this:

@Little-Juances Actually I

@Little-Juances Actually I didn't think about adding a bomb bonus, but that would be a very good idea. Although I DO think it should be in the set simply because there are connections, the stats and also how they look together. The heater shield has the grey outline which is the same colour as the bombastic demo helm/armour. The same applies for the volcanic set, the names of the items are the same, Also, think about Aegis? same stats, different name to azure guardian. Yet it's still a set, why can't the same apply for the heater shield then.

I simply think it should be in the set because there are connections, just like the aegis. What you said about the bomb bonus is a good idea, I shall edit the title of this thread.

Nameless also has the same

Nameless also has the same defenses as Bombastic, btw

Nameless is gunner gear, bombastic isn't

@Rewopa Nameless is armour which gunners use; most gunners use the swiftstrike buckler, for the ASI, but there are no shields which benefit a bomber. Bombs don't have ASI, only CTR and DMG bonus.

I agree that there should be

I agree that there should be more shields that offer offense buffs, but disagree that Heater should be re-purposed for Demo use just because 'Gunslingers don't need it'. The point still stands, if you want to re-tool Heater because of a co-incidence, both Bombastic and Nameless have equal right to it.

The BTS is wildly popular and I imagine if it had peers they would be too. The BTS was also the most recent shield to be introduced.. all the way back in 2011. So perhaps come back in another 2,3 or 5 years and you might get some kind of Demo shield (but don't count on it).

@Rewopa

OOO's doesn't work that way. They don't release gear annually like that. You can't just think that they'll release new gear at timed intervals.

This seems a little unfair. There isn't any other offensive-focused shield that has a status resistance to it, and it wouldn't make sense to suddenly have a bomb-oriented shield that does. Not to mention, it would be strange for people to find out that their obscure offshoot of the Defender line has suddenly gotten an unexplained bomber bonus. I think that bombers should have a more directly useful shield available other than Swiftstrike, yes, but as a new item, rather than a current one.

-1 at the moment.
