It really pissed me off that when you die and can no longer continue (by will, because you don't want to waste anymore CE that you've been using to revive yourself and team mates, or by force, because you have no more CE) You don't complete the mission by returning to Haven (obviously) and you don't keep the crowns, minerals, or materials gotten from the mission, but you don't get the CE back that you had to use to try and keep your team alive? People mostly get CE from buying it with real money so it's important and lost CE from aborted missions SHOULD be regained when aborting and returning to Haven. ESPECIALLY because people actually use their money on it.

I'm imagining this happening in the 80s. A player walks up to an arcade machine, spends all his quarters dying in Metal Slug and then goes to demand a refund.

I don't think you get the purpose of this post. At all. If you're going to reply in such a way then at least read the damn post before replying.

A. This will bankrupt OOO
B. Why? That's why you dont just say yes to revive all the time.
C. IT makes skill worthless.

You don't keep the crowns, etc? I need to test this...

Anyway, management of your CE is your responsibility. You spend it, you fail the mission, you've still spent it. That's your problem, not the game's.

Agreeing with Rogue, I don't think you HAVE managed your CE stocks. Believe me, I have experienced this and I hated it cause my friend blew my case. Reviving with CE is like using... let me see... [insert percentage] of your stock per revive.

And as to your reply to Zeddy, I think he meant his reply as to compare your problem.

to be truthful

Ive never used CE on revs. In my older days I used ME, but I didnt dare go up a notch. If you have a real problem with CE, seriously, try to keep yourself alive. Dont come complaining about noobish play when its not even our fault or even OOO's fault (for once.)

mmm

you keep crowns and materials earned (unless the wiki lies, I read it there somewhere) but lose heat and minerals. it would be mad if it was so. someone steals from your arsenal while you die. who? wolvers? jellies?

Let's examine your problem.

Okay so, it really pisses you off that when you die you don't feel as if it's worth continuing? So we can agree that your issue here is "dying"? Without the "dying" part you wouldn't be as much spending CE/ME and wouldn't be pissed off. So the real issue here is not that the revive system needs to be changed, it's the fact that you're dying. I can sympathize though, I've died a fair few billion times and I understand that feeling you get when you've just spent a fair chunk of energy trying to viciously fight your way through the Clockworks but find yourself lying on the floor regardless.

I think a lot of people get caught up in the fact that the game can be difficult and that they would prefer the game to change so that it suits /them/ rather than admitting that the problem could be coming from their self rather than the game.

Here's what I'd say to any other person in your position, Arkk: If you find the game difficult, that's a good sign. A sign that you have room to improve, room to grow and expand as a player. If you're dying more than you'd prefer, it shows that there's things regarding survival that you may not know about and while it may be frustrating to figure those things out by yourself, there are tonnes of people - myself included - that have already figured it out. Whether you're in a guild or not, I'd suggest finding one that focuses on combat and going into the Clockworks more than it does anything else, I'm pretty sure there's a fair number of guilds with hundreds of people that can teach you a thing or two.

Trust me, although it was far more frustrating at the time; I enjoyed my first 10 times in FSC far more than when I run it now because I was learning how to play the game back in April 2011 and it was something new to try and practice. Fast forward 2 years and I've learned a damn lot about playing this game.

I still actually get excited at hearing about and and/or learning stuff about the game because there's nothing to do and nowhere to go after learning everything.

Agrees with Razorlined.

I admit, I die pretty much on every single run I take, and saying [insert my signature words] when I die because of lag. Now, I've improved, well, my connection hasn't, but I've learned to die less by not being too reckless and jumping at enemies before I could even say CHAAAAAARGE.
