I've seen this before (in game)..I believe it's something along the lines of someone leaving or joining the party.. anyway, looks awesome.

I happen to have a pic of an exploding rocket making the very same kind of blast. Iunno if it's normal and you just timed the picture right, or if your game displayed the wrong one for some reason.

Is it blowing up several times? Did a Blast Cube go wacky? Or did you just time a picture just right?
