For some reason, this didn't save last time I tried posting it, but anyways, here it is. This post is here to ask anyone who views it: What's your favorite non-boss enemy? (this includes enemies out of the game now, event bosses, any monster that was in spiral knights at a time EXCEPT BOSSES.) You may choose as many as you like.

Well...
Well, the boss in Ghost in The Machine is hands down my favorite enemy in the game. The first time I saw the thing I was amazed at it, and the fight is nice too. The whole level is amazing, the best danger mission yet IMO.
As for a normal enemy, I really like the new Grave Scarabs. Something about them just seems cool, and they can be a slight pain in large groups if they get the drop on you.

Eh, not really. The only other place I've been to that I despise more is the treasure vaults; I only grinded Vana for the Blackened Crest... actually that's not entirely accurate, considering the treasure vaults are only one floor long instead of an age and a half. Speaking of which, I might get a combuster line sword to go with my eventual Sudaruska for the Graveyards.

Mostly a joke.
Regarding Graveyards... I actually find them a bore >.< The atmosphere is... *scary* if you solo lol, I'd do FSC over a graveyard anyday. But to each his own. Regarding Combuster, Voltedge shock spasms also work well against zombie hordes, if you clump them together, otherwise Combuster also has good dps combined with its fire. Also, Sudaruska is awesome :D

Slimes. Not to hard, but they give you a challenge. Facing Lichen will be a gamble, for you could defeat them one by one, or face the colony for a chance of more rewards.

never actually thought of this, but probably any type of kats. They make that cute mewing sound and have a sort of cutish face...until you step in. Then stuff gets ugly.

I always liked gremlin Demos. Whenever I see them I always imagine them as motorcycle gangs with their funny spike helmets while bombs fall out of their pockets as they ride. But since gremlin maps are usually pretty small they end up having to stop and turn around a lot.

(see title) I like 'em so much I farmed the PK during the Halloween fest just to get the mask so I could make a phantom costume.
I don't regret it.
Second would be Trojans. I really wish OOO would make permanent Trojan masks or whatever helmet Arkus had so I can try to make a costume out of that too.

I adore the Gourdlings and Creep Cakes, I'd like for them to be available all year and encounterable together- the contrast between them seems to be part of my odd fondness.
As for vanilla monsters, there are so many I like that it's hard to pick few favourites, but... I adore Chromas for the utterly brilliant variants' meshes, so I'd be playing the "In Cold Blood" mission an awful lot if it were more challenging. The status-charged Slimes are not quite as adorably grotesque, but much more fun to fight, so I guess it's a tie between Slimes and Beasts.
I'd be in heaven if a T3 mission offered Wolvers, including Alphas, of all status types spawning together with Quicksilvers, Oilers, Ice Cubes and the Purple Blast Cubes, and a pair of Gremlin Menders to limit fratricide. ...Oooh, and one of each status-inflicting Kat since some Undead would make the damage type question maximally interesting! I'm thinking of a roomy space with a regular grid of those little pillar stumps we see in the RJP party button rooms... Maybe the Undead should be a quartet of Howlitzers instead, since that's a more common thing? As long as it's not Zombies, they're too derpy and uninteresting for a dream room.
I like Maulos. Most anti-climatic MINI boss ever. I mean come on, for a Ice-vanaduke rip off, he's too easy with blitz.
Just kidding. I guess I like Mecha knights, because they look cool. But they suck. Stupid range >:(
