The movements one makes while playing with the arrowkeys for moving, are very similar to those one makes when AT is turned on.
Happens to me a lot.
As for proving it: there are some things that can give away AT. Especially in full combos. When it comes to AT toggling it is much harder to 'prove'
My advice: If you aren't ATing, then don't care if someone says you do.

Here's how to deal with AT akyoosers:
1: Ignore them.
2a: If you don't use AT, just ignore them and pwn their butts.
2b: If you use AT, say "AA 4 lyfe maaan" and go on.
3: Have a swell time.
4: Go do something worthwhile, like hugging a cat, instead of wasting all your time on LD.
Because it actually matters if you have AT on or not.
Seriously, it does not matter. I know it might be hard for you LD big wigs and noobs alike to understand, but it DOES NOT MATTER. Just forget them and go about your life. Simple.

I've had people claim I use AA and despite the fact that I said I'd record live-proof of me kicking their butt, they seem to just decline and say the same thing over and over.
When I'm accused of AT/AA, I just /lol and take it as a compliment that my aiming skill is on par with that of a computer.

I get accused of using it on my Hammer a lot when I play LD. Which just makes me wonder if the person saying I'm using AA has ever used a Hammer, and especially AA with a Hammer... as it is rather obvious from my movement that it isn't being used. Typically it is just people that just don't know how to counter said weapon so it MUST be that you're using AA.
Either way for most weapons it doesn't matter. AA hurts guns and the Hammer, does minimal change on the FF/BTB and heavy swords. It's only really useful if you're using the combo from your sword, and typically that hurts you more than helps you.
Oh! AA helps bombs too... I so hate those AA Voltaic Tempests, so OP.

Whenever I kill someone and he/she calls me an AA noob (or even just a noob in general), I just say ':D thx for the compliment. Being a noob makes killing you 'pro' skolver clones all the better.' or 'LOL. Someone's mad because they got killed by a NOOB.' They end up replying along the lines of '...stfu noob' and everyone else is like 'LOL'

I'll never understand the AA hate. It's not an 'unfair advantage' if literally everyone has access to it.
Anyways, in LD shouting "omg AA" has become synonymous with "omg I'm butthurt," so either take it as a compliment or pay it no mind.

@Hexzyle After being above certain frame rate, I'd be worried more about network lag crippling the play experience. protip: uncheck sync to vblank if your compy can handle above 60 fps, so "fresher" frames can be redrawn while the monitor is redrawing. Sure that adds tearing, but it updates the screen with more recent rendering, as there's no monitor wait-til-im-done-drawing hold.
TL;DR pros live next to the server, use video cards that can render a pixar film in real time, and love screen tearing.

I don't rage an awful lot but if I die due to someone using AT, it means I failed to use pretty simple strategies to counter it and the loss is my fault. If I have a fair fight with someone but would've won if we were on equal HP but I don't because they've got more health than me, I'll be a tad upset because at that point, Pendants have resulted in a pay to win situation.

I dunno. I got scolded by a gentleman yesterday because I don't play with AA. Quite a shame because my GTX 660 TI is definitely able to handle it. So I tried enabling it but it kept reverting to 1x AA. I filed a bug report, maybe we'll see a fix or something? Might as well make a video and put it on the bug reports forum.
AA is so retardedly predictable, it usually only defeats an undeveloped technique. Recognize those that use AA and learn to avoid it. Those that don't, do the same. The trickey part for me is playing against the people that toggle it one way or another. Mixing up your style is key to throwing off your opponents rhythm.
AA is one of the easiest things to avoid. If you have a problem with it, start looking in the mirror.
AT works better for those of lower ping, simple as that. Might even say its an unfair advantage. It works for laggers etc but not as well as it should if you get my drift hence unfair.
You should feel good that somebody accused you of using AT it means that you're skills are comparable to a near precise in-game mechanic. What matters more than AT though is ping (latency), if people saw the ping and compared it with what looks like AT then they'd understand its all just a ping difference and we probably wouldn't get these AT purists calling out every random guy that kills them.
@To all those that say its predictable, its only predictable if you have the internet connection to avoid that 2nd gran faust swing lol and thats only IF you can dodge the first 180degree swing haha.
Ya, there does come a point where your ping gets so high that everything looks like it kills you, even at a distance. Go recon and pick people off! It's tough to predict people that keep moving with such high ping, especially if they're invisible!
On the flip side, you can get to that sweet spot 2-3 bar connection with an asi vh GF/DA. If the first swing hits ya the second one just about auto-connects since the game pulls you back to it regardless of your direcional influence. Has nothing to do with AT, just little ping tricks.
My knowledge of how it all works isn't really technical.. That's just what I've seen.
