Me and my brother both have our own computers and when we try to play spiral knights together he gets disconnected from the server. Seams to only happen when we are in dungeons. We will enter a dungeon together and then anywhere from 1-3 minutes in he gets disconnected from the game. But when he play's by himself and iam logged off he doesn't disconnect.
Can someone give us some suggestions or idea's, we already updated his java and tried re-installing the game but that does not fix it.
I'm having this same problem, except I keep getting d/ced in Dungeons whilst playing on my own, even when no-one else is using the internet. I have a feeling its my router set up (as this has happened before with mine and my brother's Xbox connections)
Only problem is, I have no idea how to fix it
You could try and unplug the power to the router for about 10secs then plug it back in to see if that quick option might improve it.
If you're using wireless and a laptop, try and move much closer to the router to see if that improves connection.
Sounds like a potential problem with your home network. Having multiple users on a single internet connection shouldn't cause a problem, I've had up to three with no issue.
How's your network setup? Wired/Wireless? Is there a pre-existing issue with dropping users when more than one person is playing online games or other internet intensive tasks? I know at my parent's place if one person is watching HD video streams you're out of luck for online gaming.
