I wrote a response about depth 28, then noticed the line "No Boss". That makes a big difference.

Given that you're skipping the boss, this loadout should work very well. One remark: If I went into FSC-no-boss with this loadout, I would not use the Valiance at all. It's a fine gun in general, but I don't see how it helps much here.

By the way, in terms of crowns earned per energy spent, FSC depth 28 is the most lucrative level in the entire game. I mean, if you're already doing the rest of FSC, then you can spend 10 more energy and not very much time, and earn at least 3,000 more crowns (through Almirian Seals). This assumes that you're highly practiced and don't die, of course.

Actually, according to Fehzor, depth 27 alone has a payout of about 4k.

I usually get around 2.5k if I start at 27...

To profit from Almirian seals, get one of the Ancient Plate items and sell them to a vendor for 30k.

The first four levels of FSC pay about 7,000-8,000 crowns last I checked, but it could be that 4,000 of that comes in depth 27. I'll check. Thanks.

Even if depth 27 pays 4,000 crowns, it's safe to say that depth 28 is extremely lucrative at 3,000+ crowns, and money-grubbing players should do it, unless they have a really good reason not to.

You don't need to, I am just saying my preference. CTR Max is always better when you use charge a lot. Just keep practicing either solo or random party (whichever you'll learn the most). When I was new, my best record was 5 fail attempts killing vana at single day with random party + some energy revives too. Depth 24 gives around 1 k crowns, mostly less. I recommend to skip it if you have lots of friends running FSC and don't mind giving a ride. Try to see youtube videos about people killing vana probably? Anyway, once you get bored with FSC (by bored I meant you do all of those without any difficulties), I recommend to try swiftstrike buckler at least once, it's only 3 star anyway that you can craft/buy from AH right away.

He has one piece of armor with shadow protection. This is enough for FSC. In fact, many players run FSC with no shadow protection at all.

I currently use

Helmet: Snarbolax Cap (Medium Normal) for Shadow deff and a Sword DMG Medium
Armor: Divine Mantle (Medium Normal, Low Piercing) for Fire resistance and Shadow
Shield: Crest of Almire for Shadow and fire resistance
Sword: Combuster (I know a fire weapon in FSC but when I crafted I went for overall and I think setting mobs on fire is a great plus) it's fast and has 3 hits. I had a DA but simply wasn't my sword
Gun: Blitz Needle (not just for Vana) it think it's very useful for Trojans since the charge 1 shot kills them

Now my opinion of your set.
Armor: you don't really have shadow protection. For me if I would only do FSC no Vana then I would go all shadow. 2nd No fire resistance.
Shield: I don't see the point of having a piercing shield there are only 4-5 jellys and 3 beast's in total. Only thing could be the sword dmg plus but you have DA no point.
Weapons: If you don't have blitz BTB is good too. DA is just your opinion but it's good.
Trinket's: well your DA's swings do big DMG (brandish line dose more overall) you don't need that plus DMG trinket I would suggest you change it to a speed one since DA is kinda slow. and you have the shield that gives +dmg change one to speed (shield there is a Swiftstrike Buckler) the chargetime is good.

In my opinion your loadout isn't the best one nor the worst either
