we know nothing

We know almost nothing about you. For example, why didn't the "striker" style of play suit you? You seem to be choosing your play style based on armor. That doesn't make sense to me. Your weapons determine your play style much more than your armor.

The key questions are: Do you want to use swords, guns, bombs, or a mix (which mix)? Do you usually play solo, in random parties, or in known parties? Based on your answers, we can advise weapons and armor, if you really want advice.

Ok, we're not psychic.
Why don't you tell us what you're looking for?

Is it damage? speed? defense?
Swords? guns? bombs? hybrid?

Well.

Well the striker didn't fit me since it is overated, i don't like overated stuff, and having low armor...And Attacking fast.

Doing slow attack that can be canceled by being hit is what i didn't liked in the heavy armor.

Elemental, at the begining the luck for the effect to work are...Low and the bullets were:IT IS SO TINY, i guess it is better when you get like 3-4 stars but for now:Bleh.

So i want a set that is simple, without looking "Noob" for using it.

Edit:Oh and i prefer sword+pistol

Edit edit...:I am looking to try the "standar issue"

Striker gear doesn't have low defence, if that is what you're referring to. Compare:
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Skolver_Coat
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Deadly_Virulisk_Suit

If you're looking for a sword and handgun hybrid set, consider say, a piece of Vog Cub and a piece of Shadowsun, or go for a hybrid piece like Chaos. If you're planning to spend a lot of time in Firestorm Citadel, Deadshot will definitely suit.

Here's some advice: unless you want to save a bit of cash on recipes you won't have to buy, DON'T get Azure Guardian. There's really no reason to use any part of the set instead of pretty much any other piercing resistant set. The only place where the standard series might excel is when compared against the Plate line. However, the small attack speed decrease is hardly unbearable and the defenses of the Ironmight Plate Mail set are great.

"overrated"

You keep using this word "overrated". It basically means "everyone thinks it's good, but it's bad". But striker gear really is very good. So I don't understand your point.

As Krakob suggests, Azure Guardian/Cobalt/Aegis/Defender gear is the "default" armor, but it's not really general-purpose armor or good armor, so I do not recommend it.

Since you say that you are into swords and guns, I recommend that you read my detailed sword guide. There is even a section on mixing swords with guns. It might help you formulate subsequent questions for us.

If I understood correctly,

If I understood correctly, you simple went to the hall of heroes and bought everything Echo, the striker, has to offer? So your "striker set" is a wolver set with cutter/flourish/spur swords and a swiftstriker buckler?
But you didn't like it because the wolver line is overrated and has low defense? And the swords are too fast?

You tried heavy armor? I'm assuming you visited Izola and bought everything. But you didn't like because troika is a slow sword?

Then you moved to elemental set. I don't know what an elemental set is, but you said "the luck for the effect to work are...Low and the bullets were:IT IS SO TINY". So you tried alchemers and didn't like them. Slow and tiny bullets with a small chance of causing status.

And now you're using cobalt line with calibur and blaster?

You prefer swords and guns, but you don't like heavy swords or fast swords. You also don't like alchemers.
As Krakob said, I suggest a sword and gun hybrid set, with a piece from wolver and a piece from gunslinger sets. Probably an elemental and a shadow brandish for swords. For a piercing sword you only have flourish/snarble barb lines.

I really think you should visit the wiki and read about different types of damage, enemies and swordmaster/gunslinger guides.

Overrated but not bad.

I know what it mean but by that i only meant...Too much people have it...I'm getting tired of seeing so many wolvers...

Anyway.

I just want something simple, hybrid armor will make me look...UGLEH. Unless i buy costume...Wich cost a lot of crowns...Wich i get like 5-7k a day...So...Yeah.

I could get more crowns if i bought a lot of CE but i don't feel like tho. o-o

Plus hybrid are, well not complicated but...I dunno, something in hybrid armor are annoying me c:

But hybrid swords and weapons are not annoying me tho (I prefer sword than guns but i still like guns but i hate bombs)

For a sword i don't want a fast one or a slow one for a pistol i don't want small slow shooting guns or big fast shooting guns.

I just want to be in the midle of evrething, get it?

Even tho the cobalt thing is not that much interresting, i just can't chose...

Edit:I'm okay with ashield that is not the same as the armor.

Edit again:I don't say bombs suck i just don't like using them.

Edit once again:Drdrj:Elemental is the set with the hood thing and for the tiny bullets iw as talking abot the 2star set...

Not fast/slow sword: Brandish lines, don't recommend Cautery Blade.
Not fast/slow shooting sword: Alchemers, Blaster.
Shield: Defender Line/Omega Shell/Grey Owlite.
Helm: Gunslinger Line.
Armor: Wolver line.

Interresting.

Sound like good idea so i guess i should take:

Brandish+blaster+Wolver armor+gunslinger hat+grey owlite.

But i'm still thinking about it, i feel like just using something not so much special....

I will think of this

oh, overplayed, not overrated

It's certainly true that Wolver armor is very popular, and so I understand why you might not want to wear it. But yes, you can always wear a costume. Low-star costumes don't cost very much --- for example, Magic Cloak and Magic Hood look great with Grey Owlite Shield. They're designed for each other.

Pairing an elemental (or shadow) Brandish with Valiance is a fine idea. Have fun.

Derpuraptor strikes back

A quick tip for you, you should focus on gear before focusing on armor. And don't pick some things because you think they look awesome. That's a mistake I made a few times in those before-mission times. Instead, look at the stats.

Also, don't be afraid to use popular sets because there overly common. Everyone does that, so people won't go shouting things like "EWW, IT'S A SKOLVERRRR!" or "lol that guy is a dummy cuz he uses brandishes".

About the gun you wanted, I am assuming the best choice would be a Supernova or a Polaris. You can get a pulsar, a 2* of those for 40 or 30 (forgot) Bark Modules from Brinks in the Haven Bazaar. To get Bark Modules, ya gotta kill the Roarmulus Twins. After the battle, you will be granted 3 or 4 Bark modules if you do a run consisting of all Ironclaw Munitions Factory depths (That's where the Roarmulus Twins are located). If you join on the second depth you'll get 1 or 2 tokens.

avoid having only elemental weapons

I generally agree, but...

you should focus on gear before focusing on armor

You meant to type "weapons" instead of "gear"?

the best choice would be a Supernova or a Polaris

Supernova is a fine choice, but so is Valiance. Polaris is fine, except that he's probably going for an elemental Brandish, and he doesn't want an all-elemental loadout.

why not Divine Veil with Skolver Coat?

Why not Divine Veil with Skolver Coat? It's the classic general-purpose armor set: all four damage protections, four status protections (fire, shock, freeze, curse), and two offensive bonuses (fiend damage+2 and sword damage+2). With Grey Owlite Shield?

We've given you lots of ideas. We've explained that Cobalt is not a general-purpose armor set, and not a very good armor set either. You have to absorb the information that we've already given you.

And anyway it's only the armor one and the weapons, plus i don't care of being Powerful with complicated set,i just want to have fun but without having gears that will make it..."Not fun"

Plus i alrealy said i didn't liked wolver stuff why do you keep telling me to use it o-o

It might be good, but i don't like it, thats all.

And elemental deffender is...KIND of...Boring.

I don't understand

I don't understand your criteria. I don't understand why you regard some sets as "complicated"; crafting and equipping one set is no easier or harder than crafting and equipping another. I don't understand why you don't want to wear good armor and cover it with whatever costume you want. I don't see how having good equipment makes the game "not fun". You say that the Magic line is boring. Well, armor is inherently boring in this game. If you want to try exciting new play styles, then think about weapons, not armor.

It seems that you are not interested in learning about this game's rules and equipment. You just want someone to tell you what to do. But when we tell you what to do, you tell us that you don't like it. And you don't really explain why you don't like it, so we can't offer you a better alternative. Maybe you are just looking for us to approve of the choice that you've already made? Well, we don't.

Good luck, and I hope that you continue to enjoy the game. Bye.

Lots of stuff from different set is complicated c:

And when i said not fun I SAID BAD EQUIPMENT.

Elemental is boring because it defend me from something that will attack me in rare occasion, it's as much useful than a razorback.

I'm talking about a WHOLE set with weapons too y'know?

Y'see i want something that will defend me from a lot of stuff, not just rare occasion, because sometime i won't have fun doing level wich is full of my weakness, See?

You know...

Alchemers are actually pretty good, it's just because you are using the two star version.
As alchemers get from 2* to 5*, the bullets get faster and can actually greater chance to RICOCHET.
Ya know? Bounce around. Just like rubber balls, just a million times more deadly.

1.I think I'm late on posting, but who cares...I just post...
2.You say you don't want to attack fast. But you don't like heavy armor.Stay with normals?
3.So,seems that you want a fast gun, seen in your answer for elementals.I would say an Autogun is ok.You can make it a Poisonus one (Lockdown Recipe again)or Blitz Needle, the God Gun,that everyone uses.
4.So,finally I would suggest:

Wolver Set Evolutions
Barbarous Shield
Blitz Needle
Troika Evolutions

or

Magic Set Evolutions
Owlite Shield Evolutions
Divine Avenger
Grand Faust

or even

Gunslinger Set Evolutions
Owlite Shield Evolutions
Blitz Needle
Argent Peacemaker

Choices are many and endless. All is based on YOU.

Come on...

>i don't like wolver..Too much people play it.
>but i do like the snarolacks wolver armor, hmmm

Make up your mind.

As a general rule of thumb, trying to have armour against every single damage type is not the greatest of ideas in my experience. Sure, it can be done but things are still going to hurt quite a lot, though everything would do round-about the same amount of damage at least. If you absolutely must though, you can choose something like Dragon Scale with Valkyrie, Radiant Silvermail with Volcanic Salamander Mask, Divine Veil with Royal Jelly Mail or some other nonsense.

Another approach is to specialize in what type of monster you have the most trouble fighting. For instance, if you really hate Fiends you could get Valkyrie, or if you really hate Undead you could get Deadshot, or just any sort of Shadow-protective armour. Don't like Slimes and Beast, go with Piercing-resistant gear. Don't like Gremlins and Constructs go with Elemental-resistant gear. If you have trouble with two kinds like Beasts and Constructs then something like Dragon Scale could be nice with the sacrifice of resistance to physical attacks (Normal). There are a lot of combinations you can cook up but it really falls down to your own playstyle. Also keep in mind that offensive bonuses don't really make much of a difference unless you go in larger parties where monsters are much more resilient and as a result become less likely to flinch when damaged.

You said you enjoyed swordplay with a side-arm gun, but also refuse to use "mainstream" armour. In that case I would recommend something like Heavenly Iron as it provides a Sword Damage Bonus: Low with a Damage Bonus vs Fiend: Low to boot, coupled with either Grey Feather to cancel out its rather nasty weakness to Shock whilst providing a bit of additional protection against Fire (Divine is also a good option as it reinforces both its Shadow defence and Curse resistance) or perhaps Mercurial for a slight increase in movement speed while still cancelling out your weakness to Shock - just mind the spread damage resistances.

Well excuse me princess.

But must armor are kind of, POOP for me, specialy elemental i mean, getting shocked, iced or burned, is rare for me c:

But i dunno shadow protection look cool but i don't like skelly suit...

But i AAANYYYWAY the snarbolax armor, i barely evens ee anyone with it, but it is still a wolver, and i don't like piercing deffender anymore, i dunno why.

And elemental i don't like it becaus ebarely anything chnage between 1* and 5* uhm, the look not the power.

But the look is NOT too much important, but i will just ACCEPT it that wolver is overused and i will need to use it because it is good, plus i only want a shadow one so who cares?

Plus all other set are dog poop for their ability, well for me.

Unless i MIGHT should try bomber, who knows, i never used a bomb in my entire spiral knight gaming.

EDIT:Nevermind, most bombs are boring, since they're all psssh and SPIKE and also VOORTEX...So they're boring me.

This is a waste of our time.

It seems to me you came here looking for a set of armour that would grant you some sort of special ability that wouldn't make you bored wearing it. Well, sorry to say but you're not going to find anything like that in this game. I also have no idea what you're getting "bored" with, it's just armour. As Bopp said earlier in this very thread; "armor is inherently boring in this game."

If all you care about is looks, which from what I can tell after reading through this thread is the only thing you seem to be concerned about, then why do you even bother asking us? We come in here and assume you want help finding good armour based on their stats and have given you tons of suggestions so far but all you've done is dismiss it all claiming that they're too boring, or to go with your definition of boring, bad. You're far too spontaneous to give any proper advice to and you keep shifting around getting bored with whatever armour you're trying. Our advice is quite frankly wasted on you since you don't seem to care about the statistics and functionality of armour, but rather whether you think it looks cool or not. If that is your true objective then I don't care, choose whatever armour you want. You don't need any advice on what looks good and what doesn't when it all boils down to your own taste.
