I know you can toggle ranks on or off, but i'm curious if "full inspect" would still allow you to see the ranks of knights.

Hide your rank from others.
Yes! You can hide rank. Go to options then in the game tab there should be an option to not show rank when you hover over players with your mouse. Other players must have this option checked depending on if they want rank to be visible or not.

Adding on to what Bopp said.
You will also need to gain access to the Hall Of Heroes. To do this you need to complete missions. Then once you are at the HoH you need to make sure you have the right gear requirements. After completion of the HoH, then you go back down and talk to the Spiral Warden.

Right, but that's not even the crazy part. The Spiral Knights order should obviously have a lending library for recipes. I mean, we're all on the same team here, right? If I have the instructions for crafting a Divine Avenger, why can't I just send them to you?
I really like this game, and the visual design is amazing, but the plot/world design makes very little sense.
The user interface has changed so much recently, that I doubt we have any answer, other than "try it and see what happens".
