FALLOUT'S WASTELAND SURVIVAL CHALLENGES
Event 1: Proto Death Run
An organised competiton, to see who lasts the longest in a tier. the hosts job is to manage the use of proto weapons and shields, and to watch out if CE is used for revives.
Rules:
- all players must use proto swords, guns, bombs(cough) and shields
- Any armour can be used including quicksilver gear, choose wisely according to the stratum
- one reward is given to the player who dies last
- No CE revives allowed at all
- death = you lose unless party revs you = kick from party before the elevator.
- Party size will be maximum: Host + 3 contestants.
- if all other players are at the elevator, a contestant left behind is not allowed to troll around waiting for mobs to catch the others at the elveator
Host jobs:
- Keep watch of deaths and use of equipment
- make sure if you are the host, that you die immediately, so mobs spawning isn't altered, this also allows for spectating
- in the event of a party switch, host should revive and wreck havock (so bad ping is good, and might require good dungeon knowledge)
- waiting for clockwork terminals is ideal to limit the amount of party switches, this also means choosing gates to play could be difficult
- shock and fire stratums are no-no's, and watch out for greavers
- design the event around the ingame clock (seen on gate menus) and don't design them around local timezones as you may be one day ahead or behind.

Event 2: Kamikaze
An event in which players are not allowed to use guns, bombs or shields.... still something to ponder about
Event 3: Siding with the enemy
2 players essentially trying to outsmart each other (blowing up nearby blastcubes, hitting switches at unfortunate times so opposition is swarmed by potential mobs) any tier, and first to force opponents death wins.
Event 4: Oh, snap and firedoeswork
Gearing up in all shock, fire, and shock gear makes things challenging. a player enters a stratum wearing all stratum focused gear. e.g. shock stratum: a player could enter with surgebreaker armour, helm and shields, while using ionized salt bomb, shocking edge and voltech alchemer. managing an entire town to town run with the equipment will win the player an item. works with all status stratums. also no deaths.

Basically a failure means that i learnt a lot.
after 1 run, and 2 depths everyone died within 30 seconds. i died the most even though i was attempting to avoid it all.
so, this thread is setting it straight. this lead me to recreate a competition thread(graveyard my other one) with all kinks worked out. also use this to design your own competitions (they will be reposted in this top post) or donate an item to a competiton.
