Really the title says it all. The animation for the Polaris bullets is insanely laggy, and with the skill-less Polaris spam in Lockdown matches being the new normal way to play, it often causes everybody to lag out. Could something be done to the animation itself to make this less of an issue, rather than requiring everybody to have the latest top of the line 8-core processor to handle it? =P

My computer can handle all the polaris spam in the world and never drop a frame with a 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and a ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT 128 MB

Hardly a top-of-the-line setup, maybe YOU should change your graphics settings.

I have an i3 4-core, and an Nvidia. It's a nice setup, and Polaris never causes lag. Seriously. Just turn off high graphics settings.

I'm running 4 bar network

I'm running 4 bar network latency to the server, and all my graphics settings are the absolute lowest they can go. However, I'm running pretty old school legacy hardware. Frankly, the game runs beautifully for the most part, until somebody starts spamming polaris.

And mommy and daddy running

And mommy and daddy running out to buy me a new computer isn't an option, as I am unfortunately, an adult, with my own kids to support. Money is tight.

I'm sorry if I sound snippy

I'm sorry if I sound snippy or grumpy about this. Polaris doesn't lag you out. Great! It does lag a lot of us out. I'm just putting the suggestion out there to tone down the animation some, as none of the other weapons will lag me or others out like that one does. I'm hoping a developer or animator or whatever sees this. Not looking for corroboration from other players or to have the topic spammed out by people it DOESN'T effect. I realize it's a long shot and nothing will probably ever be done about it. But you never know unless you ask. So that's all I'm doing here.

My windows desktop 2000 has a built in 8 bit function. When it gets too laggy, I activate it. Sure, the game's color scheme is messed up, but its derpfast.

It's Java.

Need I say more? Devs can't magically make stuff run better, regardless.
