Is it possible to run the game in a smaller window?

I'm playing from a netbook so the game takes up the whole screen (and then some) I've tried the changing the resolution from reg edit but nothing changed. Is there any way to shrink the window or will I just have to make due.
I think the only option is to do so from the registry, someone wrote a tutorial here
