I really WANT to like this game

I don't want this post to be too drawn out, but at the same time I want to know that i'm the only person not feeling this way.

I found out about this game through Ian Mcconville, the art director of this game. I really love the art style of this game and it's one of the main reasons I was attracted to it (that and the awesome music). I gathered my best buddies and told them that we should give this game a shot. We partied up and went through the dungeons and were having a grand old time, laughing as the last person alive frantically ran around to revive his teammates. When we started getting serious about the game, actually trying to progress through it, we found that it was becoming more and more lack luster. My friends no longer had the patience to grind Jelly King to get enough marks for their Seal Swords, they didn't want to waste their Crystal Energy so they'd just log off and wait for their Mist to refill. Eventually they just dropped it altogether, and so did I.

This was back when the game first came out. I recently came back to it alone because none of my friends wanted to touch this game ever again (they said it was just grinding for gear.) It looks a lot more polished than before, but I feel like it's still the same thing. No little patches made this game feel any less than a multiplayer Castle Crashers.

Spiral Knights feels like it's still in its beta. I feel like it needs MORE. Something DRASTIC. Maybe have classes and skills, something other than having the game revolving around gear. I don't know a way around the whole Mist/Crystal Energy problems because i'm sure the developers have to have some sort of income (especially since not many people play this.)

I don't know what I'm suggesting. I just want this game to do well, or at least better than it's doing now. I wanted to get into an MMO, but i don't feel like this is an MMO.

I guess i'll play Ragnarok Online 2 or something

Castle Crashers? That's the

Castle Crashers? That's the first think you think of when you play this game? Well, in that case you're SK's target audience! Congratulations!

Unfortunately, this is the kind of game that needs a 10 dollar investment before you start playing. I actually had to fund my friends when I first played by buying one of those packs to split among 4 people. That's the only solution I can give you, because you'd have to be pretty dedicated to go pure f2p and grind for your gear...

No-Thanks
lol music

ull stop loving the music when u get to fsc its very very very(insert more very's here) NOISY and unpleasant

i used to think classes and skills shouldnt be added cuz they would destroy the games concept, but by now that concept is already long lost *cough-lockworks*. i can still see all the people reacting like "NOOO I DONT WANT CLASSIC SK TO BE CHANGED INTO GENERIC MMORPG!!" as if theyd still enjoy any of what they dont want to be changed

something drastic is not going to happen. ive patiently been waiting for years and the most drastic changes were steam and pvp. steam added so many new players and ce prices dropped, that crafting was actually worth it and u could make profit(just think about it 1st time using this games feature for profit, that feeling..). pvp i never looked forward to i was happy with perma fsc at that time, but its just alot more fun and addicting than pve in sk, another big change for me

i also dont know anything about money, they probably have to schedule everything and cannot risk trying something too different and in the progress lose money and players

lets all stick to ld
/e pulls glacius, gran faust, and prepares /cle and /ignore command.

I've been playing since like

I've been playing since like the first 3 days of its release (Dad showed me this game, TBH) and I went through a lot of updates (Even though I quit for 6 months after finding out they were teamed with SEGA) with it. But that hasn't stopped me from loving the heck out of it. It's just addicting to say the least. Just over-come the eternal grinding of Crowns and CE. There's many reasons why I ditched Runescape for this.

my 2 cents

There's many reasons why I ditched Runescape for this.

And why I ditched Sc2 and Diablo III to come back for this... ^ ^

The game is good, the grinding is good. Yeah it's boring after 2 years... like anything... If all it can tell OOO it succeeded in making a good game. Not the perfect one, but a great game overall that keeps player addicted to it.

Although OOO should REALLY... but REALLY re-make the WHOLE tutorials and explains IMPORTANT informations in a direct and straight forward way.

This is the CE market, you buy here, you sell here. Here's AH, you can buy here via offer or buyout, 10% off any sales made!

This is Haven 1, trade market

This is Brinks, he changes your tokens into valuables items

Those are your missions... You can deposit minerals here by the way, it changes the Arcade and is a nifty place to find recipe that cannot be found in your missions!

Have fun

Like 1 minutes and that's that... Maybe the alchemer station I missed? And Sulivan...

Instead of those annoying missions -_- "Missions? what do I do now?" *blablabla* *next* *blabla* *next* *blah...blablabla* *next* *next* *next*

@Neodasus
Um.......you don't really have to spend $10, and you don't have to be really dedicated either.......You should be able to get up to 3* gear just fine. Besides, ever since the introduction of missions and the HoH, collecting recipes (and crowns) has never been easier >.>
