Fix the material drop system

First of all, I would like to say on why I think it's unfair.

If OOO are trying to prevent people on duplicating materials then what about crowns? But this is why I think the material system needs to be fixed, or at-least say how it works, and please don't say it's random...

I think that people that pick

I think that people that pick up the mat should have a higher chance of getting the mat. Say, in a 4 people party, instead of being 25% for each player, it should be maybe... 40-20-20-20%.
Just an idea.

I've noticed mats going heavily to one player at times, to the point I'm wondering if something's off. That said, duped mats would erase a reason against parties, at the very least.

(I think it's random, just very badly done)

Looking at the screenshot carefully... Dark matter + luminite + 8! moonstone..... but only 2 people? How did you guys carry so many minerals?

Random is random. The odds of

Random is random. The odds of a person getting a mat ranges from 50% (2 people) to 25% (4 people). You simply got unlucky. The law of probability says that things like that will happen on occasion when it is random.

Same for the UVs. The rough odds are 1:10, you can get unlucky or very lucky... those are just the rough odds. I ragecraft a lot. I've gone over 40 crafts without getting a UV before, on the other hand I have gotten 3 High UVs in my last 18 crafts (15 vanilla, 3 Highs). Again, random is random.

Flip a coin 20 times, it can land on heads the first 19 times... the last flip's odds are still 50/50 that it'll land on heads.

Runs of a particular result are natural when generating random numbers, and in fact should be expected - often, if you see a mix of results that is too even, it's an indicator that it's not a fully random number generator. If you actually wanted any meaningful randomness analysis, a simple screenshot of the final result doesn't suggest anything. You need to record the exact pattern generated before you can examine the efficacy of the RNG.

Gweny your chances to get 40 without UV are 1:75, but chances to get 2 the same UVs in row are 1:8100, but i have few events that means that they are correlative to each other.

That's a big monitor.

Also I'm pretty sure there was a nicer system some while ago but it was changed. I don't know why but people were abusing it somehow.

Absolutely.
Positively.
Not.

I've had hassles with gear drops where the person who walked over it demanded that they should get it, some guys get very harassing when they think they got cheated out of a boring old searing edge drop in FSC. You killing the monster or opening the box is irrelevant, someone else would have done that later anyway.

The only way to stake your claim on monster and box drops is to play solo.
