Can gunslinger be op or become op because gunslinger seem to the most UN op fighting style in the game to me..
can gunslingers be Op
Equip Chaos.
Equip Blitz Needle.
Equip Nova Driver.
Equip Umbra Driver.
You are now OP.
Polaris isn't that OP in PvE. Its just... ok to bad, but still usable.
Get some damage boosts to your guns. They begin doing fairly respectable damage that way. I've insta-gibbed a crowd of zombies in FSC with a single Nova Driver charge shot. Blitz Needle pretty much flattens anyone in front of you, albeit it takes some time to get used to the charge shot.
If you're waving around an Argent Peacemaker, Sentenza, or even Valience, then you're doing it wrong. AP and Sent aren't really the best full gunner items, especially when compared to their superior alchemer brethren. Valience is a more utility weapon, not damage. Even a Polaris is more utility than damage (exception being Gun Puppies).
> Polaris isn't that OP in PvE. Its just... ok to bad, but still usable.
Extreme knockback so that no one can even touch you + ok damage = much better than ok.
Yeah, I forgot the countless times where my storm driver's knockback sent the enemies so far away that i killed them without even moving.
It's called shield-bumping. Even a Swifty can do it. You also get the benefit of a swordsman being able to actually fight without getting blinded and without his targets getting thrown out of reach. Two men using high damage weapons > 1 wimp using a medium damage weapon
Huh, was expecting this thread to be about TF2.
If I ever relapse and go into another 3 month long streak of SK, I'm definitely gonna get myself every alchemer. Who needs swords anyway?
LoL, guess you've never played with Tennis. He'll make you ragequit in a couple seconds.
> It's called shield-bumping.
Yeah, I also forgot how many times my shield flew into the middle of the enemies just to shield-bump them away before even they could even reach me, man. It even damaged them so that they so that they kept locked in a corner until their death.

Aiming at enemies that aren't being targeted works wonders. But I see high-knockback weapons as more of a soloing-gear, kinda like leviathan and nitronome, which can get more in the way than help if used the wrong way (not that they can easily kill anything by locking it into a corner like polaris, but still, they have strong knockback that can get in the way of others).
Polaris is really useful for crowd control. I mostly use it in Danger Missions and Shadow Lairs but it's something. Storm takes its place plenty of times.
Wait most of you are basically saying that the guns are op and not the person behind it .
First of all, I'd like to advise you to use proper spelling and grammar, because I don't get what you were saying in your last post. Anyways...
All 3 playstyles in Spiral Knights are OP in someway, except for "Bombing", mainly because of the RSS changing. Swords "might" look as the most powerful, while in fact, it's not. Both Gunslingers and Swordsman can be OP if that individual played skillfully with their weapons. For example, Brandish and Sealed Swords might look way powerful than Umbra and Argent Peacemaker in PvE, but if used correctly, you can achieve high DPS in both classes. While in LD, it might be a bit different. Gunslingers should usually have good connection to be able to land bullets on their enemies, and probably, they will need some "Attack Speed Increase", while Swordsman, can equip normal swords without ASI and still do somewhat good.
Again, if you put any weapon in the good hands, it will always look OP. I'd also like to mention some notable Gunslingers in LD, so you can go spectate them and see how they beat the crap out of swordsman.
1. Pytun
2. Mhmok
3. Dutch-Oven
4. Blueflood
5. Oh-Quiet-You
6. Hadn (When he uses guns.)
7. Meida (Also when he uses guns only.)
8. Vokster (Again, when he uses guns only.)
And the list go on.
Lol I use it but I just woke up and I forgot to edit, anyway, I think that the person who plays the gunslinger are op and not the guns itself that's why in asking to see what you guys think on this subject.
Have you ever taken a step into T3 LD? Imagine this-

Yeah, pretty sure it can be OP in a lot of situations. In the clockworks (and LD) you can easily deal out as much damage as a sword could with alchemer swapping plus it gives you the advantage of not only long-range combat, but being able to walk away from an enemy while you drain its health.
