Explore Cradle on it's surface! :)

Well, we have been digging down to the core, right? Yeah, but there might be another way in. Maybe there is a mountain on the surface that if you climb down its steps, you will find the same researchers, the same core terminal that the path is sealed in. But on the OTHER side! The lift will be on a cable, like a zip-line! New enemies, like dragons and bears! New bosses and stuff. 10 energy per place, as always. Wilderness and clockworks, but not underground.

Or maybe the core is a portal to a place on Cradle's surface.

Or maybe the goal is to go to Cradle's moon to get the energy source there!

Think of the possibilities! Or don't. It won't concern me that much.

Like Open-World???

When I was T1, i always wanted to fight Snarby on the surface of cradle.
Actually, when i got the Boss Module, I was looking for a way out of Haven to find this "Wildwood" place and fight him again.

The clockworks rotate and change constantly, right?
Then we don't have to explore the surface. Everything below us moves on it's own. If there is a zip line, it'll appear in Haven sooner or later :P

It feels like we just had this thr-

"Going outside and walking around on the surface will be exactly the same as walking around in the Clockworks, but coming up with creative ideas for going outside is too difficult."

Both of these threads have the same problem. Stop it. This is only slightly better than the threads which are literally "I want new weapons because I want them so Nick and friends do all the creative work while I contribute absolutely nothing" because it suggests a very vague and unspecific thought, though anyone with two thumbs and nostrils to stick them up could make the exact same thread.

I'm all for new level types, but...

the whole point of the game up 'til now has been to explore the caverns under cradle, and to power the skylark, so any surface exploration would be somewhat out of place, at least at this point.

perhaps after we power the skylark, we can revisit this idea, but right now, it wouldn't fit in with the game's plot.

When you think about it, Cradle is an entire planet, and we've never even moved outside the walls of Haven. Who's to say the Clockworks isn't actually a lot smaller than we think, and other parts of cradle don't have huge rotating gears underneath them? And what about that big sparkly axis?

I think you got some simple, but nice, ideas. Exploring other parts of the awesome world that is Cradle would be soooo nice ^_~. It would change the way the game is going, by adding variety to the places you go, becouse a lot of veteran T3 players are tired of doing the same stuff. The addition of Compounds levels were nice, but cmon, we need moar places!!!!!MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAR xD
