Along with those other things, it could be that after all the whining and bellyaching about opaqueness the staff at OOO are trying to be more communicative.
Because, you know, we all did complain pretty hard about it.

Maybe they decided it was actually a good idea to get feedback from the people who play their game. And in suggestions... it's great to see Nick saying "this is the kind of thing we're interested in, maybe" or "we don't think/want this to happen". Hopefully it will facilitate discussion about the kind of thing OOO is more liable to actually consider.
