Ok, firstoff, before everybody goes telling me how this won't work, LET ME TRY TO START A SPARK. Thank you in advance.
As everybody knows, weapons are very balanced and work well with different techniques. However, some weapons just don't look like they should be doing average damage. I believe that Heavy Weapons, a new weapons class, might start something along those lines.
Everybody wants to do more damage. ( Or at least I do. Most people do. ;D) But the best weapons for doing damage are just...weapons. A Glacius had great damage vs. undead. Meanwhile a Suderaska does next to nothing in effiency without UVs and Armor Bonuses. My proposition is this: that we make an entirely new weapons class using existing weapons and new ones to come. Like Iron Slug for instance. It should have WAY bigger damage then it does, and is considered useless by most players. Now Heavy Weapons will do much more damage ( 2-3x a regular sword/gun/bomb), but will come at a great cost, such as movement decrease or slower shield recharge. Slower movement speed could be another penalty. I myself prefer "offense is the best defense" against, "defense is the best offense" personally. So I move to create this new class and possibly some new armors and shields to help against the negative effects, but still slightly reducing the benefits.
Weapons-
-Sudaruska: Massive sword (oh wait: it already is xD) that has a 80% chance of stun and stagger and does about 600+ damage per swing around FSC levels. However, has a very slow attack speed (like 5 seconds for full attack, 4-5 for charge) and can leave the wielder vulnerable at the end of the attack. Walk speed decreased by 20-25%.
-Iron Slug: Heavy weapon handgun the deals around 300+ damage near FSC levels. Can stun user for 5 seconds after charge attack and has a hundred % chance of stunning enemies. However, large knock back to player will make said player stand still for about .75 seconds. Gun has a 2 shot magazine. Shield recharges to maximum 75%.
-Big Angry Bomb: ITS ANGRY!!! Deals around 5-600 damage around FSC depth levels. However, player walks incredibly slow when charging and the splosion timer is around 4 seconds. Blast radius is narrowed down to about 3 squares in each direction. However, this will stun the knight who placed it if he is in the blast radius.
-(NEW IDEA) Prince's Mace: Large weapon that supossedly belonged to Lord Vanaduke before he was corrupted. Looks something like a miniature version of Vanaduke's mace. Does roughly 400+ pure elemental damage per swing and it is a three swing sword. First swing is an uppercut, second is a sideswipe, and last swing is a smashdown, similar to the Sudaruska charge, and it generates a fire cloud, similar to the one of FoV's charge attack. For it's charge attack, the knight will raise the mace and perform a more forceful smashdown which will result in a largely explosion and fire attack similar to that of vanadukes. However, it is very slow, and cannot be very useful in LD. Slows movement speed to just above a walk and lowers shield to 80%. Can be obtained by paying brinks 80 almirian seals.
-(NEW IDEA) Shotblast: The contrary of the pulsar, this close range weapon utilizes the opposite of pulsar physics for its explosive shots. Heavy shotgun type gun that utilizes close range and is rather the opposite of a pulsar. Does around 150 normal damage up close and 75 further away. Holds six shots before a reaload, and reload takes up to 5-6 times longer then normal reloads. Looks something like a reversed Polaris. Barrel is circular and wide like a Neutralizer but black inside, and main body has air vents similar to Polaris. VERY SLOW REALOAD. shields max recharge 50%. Can be obtained by giving 40 Twin tokens to Brinks.
-(NEW IDEA) Spreading Freeze: This bomb was inspired by the works of the King Krogmo's Blast Network, although it is rather different. Rather lighter bomb, but effects do not disappoint. Once placed, the bomb has the radius of a Nitronome, and acts similar to the DR. After going off, the bomb will form four spokes like a wheel that are constantly spinning, for one rotation. The bomb will take 4 seconds to disperse after going off. Every time a spoke hits an enemy it will do about 250 damage per hit of shadow damage, with a mics. effect. This will affect the bomber though, as whatever effect goes off, has a 25% chance of affecting the player. Also, the player has a slightly slower movment rate ( like charging a bomb with Merc. demo.) This bomb can be crafted only at the Sanctuary Alchemy Machine, but even then, there is a 25% chance the recipe will be in the machine. Recipe consists of 25 dark shards, 10 ecto drops, 4 shadow steel, 5 mugs of misery, 10 forbidden fruit, and 2 gremlonium.
