I've been playing a lot of League recently, since I've been waiting for new content in SK (It's gotten kind of boring for me).

So I decided to look around the forums, as I'm an active user there. And then I find this lovely little button called the 'Dev Tracker'
http://na.leagueoflegends.com/board/devtracker.php?g=Riot

It literally shows you every recent post made by admins, and that there's always an active online admin posting on forums DAILY!

I like that they keep in touch with their community. I really do.

=]

I'm glad that SK admins are coming back to us. They used to post all the time @ beta and quite a while after that. Now it's only here and there :'(
(but it seems like they're talking to us more now <3)

Your comparison is silly.

League of Legends: 12 million players per day, on average.
Spiral Knights: Several hundred thousand players per day, tops.

Hmm...

Be careful, this post could include personal opinion!

"Spiral Knights: Several hundred thousand players per day, tops."

Not even as much. Maybe if the Battle Sprite updates comes out, but after 2 - 3 days that peak goes out quickly. League of Legends is so successful because of it's nice multiplayer pvp and free to play system. They know how to use their potential. If Spiral Knights would have such great pvp games, I'm sure that much more people would stay. Counter-Strike is also an example, some players play that more than a whole decade, because of it's great multiplayer system. Any game which doesn't support user-created maps or content or no great multiplayer / pvp doesn't have a great future in general. Valve knows that too, that's also the reason why they are so successful. Doesn't help much to copy the lockboxes from Team Fortress 2.

content / fun = players
players = money
money = future

Seriously.

I have also respect to these people which wait 6 months for this Battle Sprite.

Let's look at LoL's playerbase.

Then let's look at LoL's development and community interaction team's size.

Then let's look at Riot's budget.

Compare all of those to SK. See the difference?

Did someone say Ahri?

Oh, wait, it's just one of these threads again. Never mind.
