Greetings, forum. I have seen fit to grant you all an audience with me. It has come to my attention that piercing defence is the most popular choice of class in all of the clockworks. I see so many people every day wearing wolver, dusker, ash tail and skolver. It is logical to assume that this is done for their piercing defence, but I have to inform you people that you are making a mistake. If it's piercing defence you're looking for, and clearly it is because it's the best thing ever, you need to go down the path of jelly armour. I will instruct you on how to become an optimal piercing defender:

-Attain a royal jelly helm. Mercurial helms are alright but we're piercing defenders not piercing run-away-like-sissies.
-Attain a royal jelly mail.
-Attain a royal jelly shield.

Upon this, you have taken the first step to become a most honourable piercing defender. The rest is experience and wisdom. Though you will never attain my perfection in the art, I'm sure some of you can do pretty good.

Oh, and throw away that sword. It looks ugly matched with jelly mail and totally ruins the majesticness of your fine armour.

Why why why!?!?!?

Why don't you use weapons you need weapons to pass the hall of heroes and it mean you really on others to do damage and hit switches and it just rediculess and unintelligent. How would solo anything? You can't its just stupid!

Questions!

1) Regarding Mercurial Mail - True, the bonus can potentially help you run away from piercing damage sources. But is it not true that it also allows you to reach them faster, letting you protect your squad from dangerous damage in a timely fashion?

2) What are your thoughts on Ice Queen helms and mails? Would they also be suitable for a piercing defender's job, barring the mismatch between armor and shield colours?

I piggybacked Vana trips to get a Fang of Vog and immediately vendored it, while I got my jelly recipes from Basil. Isn't that how everyone plays?

Where there are switches, there are never pots far away. Of course I would never solo anything. Who would I defend? Myself? What a ridiculous notion! I am, of course, totally invincible in my max piercing jelly set (and sharp wit).

1. That is a good point! While I do think that your team deserves it if they stray so far away from your protection, it would indeed help for that.

2. Ice Queen mail is alright, but it only has freeze resistance instead of sleep. Freeze? Ha! I laugh! Freeze is gone in one block, who cares about it? Meanwhile, I need sleep resistance. Sleep is for the weak! Do I look like a weakling to you? I haven't slept a minute since this game got released and I intend to keep it that way.

The king of piercing defence is, of course, the one with the most piercing defence. That is why I have max piercing on my jelly armour and also two piercing defence trinkets at all times. Nothing is too much for a king.

1. Aha! I recognize a trick question when I see one! No matter the temperature, jellies laugh at your flourishes! Flamberge has a tiny affliction rate of weak fire, anyway.

2. Any colour of moustache is, of course, utterly fabulous. Nick likes black, but I'm a fan of brown, myself.

Even if I had a weakness, it wouldn't be wise of me to divulge it to just anyone.

Plus, it's kind of easy to guess. I'm covered in jelly.
