First off, congrats on creating some truly awesome looking textures! High-fives to Boswick and Cherub!
The textures for newer items (Honor set and now the Stormy sets) have been VERY high quality and generally look amazing! Here's hoping that other armors might see some graphical improvements!

Second off, why do you hate Gunslingers? If you guys didn't know, Gunslingers got shafted once again. Why are we stuck with the TWO textures for hats while everyone else gets really nice colors? Why do we have to settle for retextured Magic Cloaks instead of our own Western Sashes with fancy revolver chambers and spurs?
Did we do something wrong?

And it's not just us, either! The Skellies and Jellies, as well as the poor Bomber who's only a head, have been getting ignored with all of these amazing new colors and textures!
Are we ever going to get some colorful armor? [Edited]

Yep

I agree, the newer stuff has looked amazing (the storm armors ALMOST got me to buy more ce, even); freaking love to colors used.

But generally, I agree that the other armor sets dont get near as much love, which is a damn shame, really.

Because more people wear certain armor and would be apt to want corresponding costumes, and making these things, I would assume, takes some amount of time.

The world centers around the many, not the few.

Maybe the reason why a lot of people don't wear a lot of Gunslinger armor is because there aren't a lot of color options? It's a vicious cycle if that's true.

But even then, I don't see that argument as being very true.
I see more people in full Gunslinger than in any Scale armor and we all know one of the reasons why there are so many Wolver clones is because of the usefulness of the armor and the weapons it buffs.
Jelly and Skelly are also pretty popular fashion-wise, especially with the smooth Jelly helms that just work with accessories. I've also seen more Bomber helms than I've seen Bomber torso, so why there's a Stormy torso and not a Stormy helm I don't know.

In the end, I just don't see why they don't make the recolors for a few armors. They came up with completely NEW textures (not just recolors where they can just change the hue) and NEW assets (especially that truly badass ribbon around the Rider Mantle), so what's the problem with adding a few swathes of color onto armor assets that they've already made?
It really feels like they're being inconsiderate of the players who really like the looks of those armors.
There's been five cosmetic updates where these armors were left out.
Five chances to make money from people who really want to see different colors of those armors.
Five chances that OOO completely missed out on because Vog knows what reason.

From what I've read of the patch notes, there are five helms. Rextextures of Volcanic Plate, Dragon, Angelic, Almirian Crusader, and Shogun.
Is there another that I missed or is it one of those?

Wow. How have I never noticed that before. o__O
I've been looking over the armors for so long and never caught on to that. I guess the new item views helps with that, though. Thanks for letting me know about that Tutajkk!
But even though it uses the same model, it still isn't the Skelly helm. And that still leaves out all the other armors I mentioned.

Before everyone was up in arms about these armors not getting any promos, but now it seems like everyone is just complacent with the seven pieces of armor in this promo.
What's different this time around?

I agree that these promos really look cool, but their colors don't look like they'd match with anything other than other Stormy pieces. These pieces are shiny and saturated gold and silver, unlike most other color combos in the game which are more subtle and toned down... Kind of like the new UI vs. the old UI...

There's only like 1 piece of armor thet the Storm Helmets do -kinda- fit: Radiant Silvermail, thou the silver color doesnt match with the grey bits of the armor, so they only really fit with the storm armors, sadly... JUST GIVE ME A RADIANT SILVERHELM ALREADY, OOO

And yeah, seems like the new plan for the look of SK is gonna be shininess instead of the solid colors they used before. Does that mean that at one point ALL the old armors/helmets/shields/weapons will get a new, shinier retexture?

I wonder...

I noticed that the Stormy stuff almost uses the same colors as the Argent Peacemaker (the whites are a little off). I guess if you went full Fashion Knights you could match your armor with your weapons.
But there's still the problem of nothing else matching with it...

Maybe once they cover everything in shinies we'll get a Fencing Mask, Vita Helm, and Radiant Silverhelm? But they'll only make two new textures for Gunslinger Hats to replace the two old ones. Gotta keep some things consistent.

I just read some more of this thread and realized how great it would be if they went back and redid the textures for some of the older armors, to make them more detailed. Especially the 5* ones.

And about the scale helms, they probably made one based on how man people got/used one in the other promos. I know I, at least, have both a frosty and hallow one. (I actually had 4 frosties at one point. Can we do more promos with KC-costing boxes? <3)
