I don't know about anyone else, but when i see a large group of enemies (especially on FSC) i have the need to shield bash em all. i have noticed, however, that when you RUN INTO AN ENEMY WITH A SHIELD when they are attacking, YOU GET HIT! i would get it if my shield broke, but it doesn't and i end up dead. can you at add a frontal shield, like the one thwackers have on their backs when using shield bash? if you did it would actually make me want to use the shield bash, otherwise i am just kamikaze-ing right into them.
why does shield bash fail?

What would be the point of the dash if the shield bash provided both invulnerability and stun?

Shield bash has a longer windup and leaves you exposed for longer after the action itself. Besides, you are holding a shield in front of your face, it really seems to follow that you should be able to block things in front of you.
Doesn't need to be total invulnerability; it could drain shield health.

Personally
I could see anything you're doing when shield bashing being considered "Guarded" because, well, you are guarding while you do it.

Yep. Please make it so your shield is "enabled" near the end of your dash. That way you can be partially defended from monsters that you land on, but you can't use the bash to escape traps.
Yeah, no. You trade defense for offense, simple to grasp concept. If you became invulnerable while dashing then you may as well use dash to tank vana hits and such-like.
Simple idea, you can either block the attack or dive into it. Your choice.
