I have seen no evidence that status weakness affects probability. However, with full chaos, you WILL get cursed 60 seconds, and ALL of your weapons and vials will be totally unusable.
The good news is, from my testing, it only seems to trigger self curse on about 20-25% of your charge attacks.
EDIT: whoops, I cant read. I never actually tested it on getting cursed from OUTSIDE sources, but I assume it's the same.

Anyone bothered to test how long a full Fallen set wearer will be cursed by Gran Faust's self curse?

Holy CRAP I never noticed the fallen set had that much curse weakness. However, given the bonus is ASI as opposed to chaos's CTR, you'll be less likely to bother using it.
I'll probably make a Fallen set in a few months, I guess, but not soon enough for the purposes of this thread.

I can definitely feel that I caught lesser self-inflicted fire from FOV when I'm in vog. Harder to freeze skolver using hail driver etc. So i would say a Chaos/Fallen user will get cursed more often.

It's no longer than Chaos. Caps at 60 seconds.
I believe status resistance only affects the status' strength; unfortunately, I have no numbers to back this up.
It feels like I catch just as much fire wearing Chaos as Volcanic, Chaos just makes fire hurt harder and last longer.
