Okay.. So I, for one, have found myself, later down the road wishing I had not bound that one expensive costume piece, because I need the CE to buy a new weapon or armor etc. I think each account should be credited with up to 5 costume unbinds per month. The reason I say up to 5, is so that classic players don't just start unbinding all the old school costumes all willy-nilly and throw the economy off. It also makes it so that you get to erase 5 mistakes per month, in case you weren't thinking clearly when you first bound a costume piece. I also think it should cost around 2500 Ce to unbind a costume piece, because this makes it viable to unbind mid-range value costume pieces, rather than ONLY the high range ones.

Please support / give feedback on this thread!

Sorry, I'm going to have to disagree. It's tough luck that you spent your money on visual candy instead on actual practical equipment. It's a lesson you can carry on to real life, too.
If you bind something on accident, you should contact the GMs within a reasonable time frame they can have it unbound for you. But otherwise no. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

nope.

sorry, but to need the prices of costumes up (and so the crown sink of the AH) we must keep it so. could be 5 per account, but not more.

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

Unfortunately, nope. This would allow some things to come unbound which shouldn't be unbound. I also am going to assume that costumes which expire couldn't be unbound.

really? they can do that? o.O

Good to know :D

It should cost 10,000 ce because of how the market will be flooded with new costumes. It would kill the economy.

I hope you realize that *some* people have some ridiculous costume set and they would sell for 100k ce and upwards if they could ever unbind it. The ce would crash down or the cr would, IDK and don't even wanna think about it -_-

just no...

Well I bound a thunderous

Well I bound a thunderous plate mail and within 24 hours asked a GM to unbind it because i realized i needed the CE more, and the GM said no, so yeah.. there should be some sort of leniance on this.

Your own fault.

It's your dang fault for not thinking it through, you can't blame OOO for that. As for any sort of costume unbinding system, just... No. Absolutely not. It would devalue rare/old costumes, as well as crash the existing costume market, likely driving off even more players than the game is already bleeding.

By reasonable time frame I mean within the half hour, and it pretty much has to be due to a misclick.

Eh.

You could make the fee exorbitant. Old promo items will eventually run out entirely if the promo is not repeated.

The time window for getting it unbound by gms is around 10 minutes after you bind it.

-1 I've thought about this

I've thought about this before, and the best way OOO could handle it is either giving 1 costume unbind per $100 purchase during a promo, or maybe tie 25,000 CE price and only allow one per account. The purchase would have a max of maybe 2 per account. Otherwise the economy would be thrown out of whack and people would rage for eternity...

TL:DR no, awful idea which would destroy the game economy. In no way do I even support the idea that I just threw out there...lol
