If you really want to know what's happened in the past four months, then read the Announcements forum or the wiki page for the Release Notes. Either of them will give you a perfect, detailed account of the changes. In contrast, a forum thread will not give you a reliable account of the changes. On the other hand, a forum thread gets you more attention.
