Are DA and GF better than rocket hammer in LD ?
DA and GF seems to be easier to maneuver and can take down opponents with 2 full hits, while the hammer take more skill to use and takes 4 hit to kill someone with heart trinket
If you watch end game result, most of those who get 20k damage have DA/GF + A toothpick

I think the hammer has a great potential if you play as guardian, since it gives you more mobility.
When I play striker, I use the hammer only when I finish my boost and I find myself in a tough situation.

The hammer can be better if used well. The dash can be cancelled.
Hammer's most effective purpose in ld is and likely will remain to be it's psychological effect.
Someone who uses a hammer well will be unpredictable, and will use said unpredictability to throw off and intimidate their opponent.
Damage isn't all that wins a war, sometimes you gotta project a little fear.
If all you seek is damage, then yes, gf/da the opponent to death.
