My friend - Gulaszak lost in 24.05.2013 his Steam account through steal , he got back account in 28.05.2013, but his Spiral Knights account is banned.
He didn't do anything wrong, he has had only one game account.
My friend has been banned when his Steam account has been stealed.
What Juances said. Besides, your friend needs to be the one disputing his ban himself anyway--there is nothing you can do for him in that regard. I would suggest editing your post and moving this thread to the graveyard to save someone else the trouble.
Thief sold all him items when he stealed Gulaszak's Steam account...
To be absolutely clear, Gulaszak account has been stolen, by the same person from this topic http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/80389 and Gulaszak was banned because of that thief
Its not only about a unbanning Gulaszak, but also banning that thief account, so if Game Masters can ban people by their IP can he ban that thief, not people who are innocent and lose their accounts.
Gulaszak sended a few mails to GM's and he still have no response, also he cant write anyting on forum because his account is banned.
Don't trust anyone with your account. Not even if the other end promises a reward for your info.
That's the thing. There weren't any super hacks or elaborated scams. Only people being... 'too innocent' to say the least.
"Gulaszak sended a few mails to GM's and he still have no response" Unfortunately, at this point that's all he can do: wait for a response. When a GM does show up here, they are going to tell you the exact same things that others already have--namely, that your friend has to contact support himself, and that they will discuss the terms of his ban with him, and only him. Then they will likely lock this thread and move it to the graveyard with all the other virtually identical threads that pop up from time to time when someone gets banned and wants to complain about it on the forums.
And BTW, giving out your login/password for any reason is also against the ToS, so despite the fact that your friend fell for a scam, that doesn't necessarily mean his account will be reinstated.
so after they solve this... we going to get the GM message in game about how to keep our account safe for being stolen?
because i can be pretty sure they send that message everytime someone get their account "stolen" and got it back.
Anyway they should also tell to players that none of the GM gift away stuff, and give them a list of the GM real name (i mean the char they use for GM) and if that name dont appear on the list, mean arent a real GM and not matter what they said, if the name dont appears as the list they give, the GM is fake.
Because honestly.. some players are "too innocent" to believe anything (the other day i was in haven, when a friend told me he got a message from "Gmm-Atropos" telling him he was a real GM and was checking inactive accounts to deleted and he must give him his account data, user and pass to avoid being deleted) since he dont believe me that gm was fake (because he said the gm told him "He use that name to avoid being spotted by other players) i just report the fake GM. he told me not report him because i would get my account "deleted" i just loled and report the fake gm anyway.
what really amazes me its the number of people that get their account stolen these days.
Hello there everyone! I'am one of the Gulaszak's friends...
@Narfle
"And BTW, giving out your login/password for any reason is also against the ToS, so despite the fact that your friend fell for a scam, that doesn't necessarily mean his account will be reinstated." - Gulaszak didn't gave the hacker login and password... Game Master not responding for my e-mail...
They won't respond to e-mail. You must send support ticket. =/
Actually, we do respond to e-mails - it's just that they're checked periodically rather than 24/7, so you won't instantly receive a response. When it comes to banpleading, you'll need to send us an e-mail and not a support ticket as we do not discuss bans there. As always (and this goes to everyone), please be patient with a reply while we look into your case.
I would also like to remind everyone that you should never, ever, ever give your password to anyone, not even to Game Masters or Three Rings staff. We don't need your password to look at your inventory, to confirm ownership of your account, or even to give you items and prizes. If someone asks you to click on a link that requires you to input your username and password, it's very likely that the link is actually a phishing site to get your account information! If you have any doubt at all, ask our Game Masters through a support request or e-mail before visiting any such link advertised in the game or elsewhere.
We also have recommendations on how to keep your account secure on our Account security wiki page here. Your account is your responsibility, so it's up to you to keep it safe and secure!
"Using a forum post to protest a support action, such as a ban, may make it necessary for us to discuss the circumstances of your case in public. We strongly recommend submitting your dispute via the Support Email form instead."
