curse means some of your

curse means some of your weapons and vials are mark, if you use them you will get hurt. Yes faust can kill you if you charge it.

Uh

Didn't you see the "Chance of receiving CURSE" big purple message on the tooltip?

But yeah, it's only on the charge attack.

It's only the charge attack.

It's only the charge attack. The default swing is so frikkin' amazing that the Charge Attack had to be nerfed to compensate and make DA competitive.

Curse Resistance

I've been cursed by it SIGNIFICANTLY since I got something with curse resistance. Now I love it :)

EDIT: I meant significantly less, as in I don't think it's cursed me since.

The faust curses things it

The faust curses things it hits at a low chance, but it's still high enough to be noticeable. The charge attack however has a much better chance of cursing, usually a one in three chance (meaning most times, if you can bounce something along with your sword beam, it WILL be cursed). Cursing only affects half (rounded down) of your weapons though, those being which ever ones don't have the curse symbol over them down at the bottom of your screen. If you have a second faust for example, you COULD just bust that one out and keep swinging...

But then again, there's nothing stating your faust will be the weapon that gets cursed to begin with. I've had it happen many times that I've been "cursed" and it was my off weapon that got hit. So just keep swingin' at dem slimies! Charge attacking can be dangerous though when you've already got a curse. The curse can be reapplied, but it happens silently. The new curse overrides the old, so a new weapon (or weapons, if you unlocked two slots for four total) may get cursed, including the faust this time. More than once this has caught me by surprise, but it doesn't happen anymore.

Pro tip though: Even if it says the curse duration is 0, you aren't uncursed yet. >.>

Yes.

Faust can do lots of damage to you, in one of Magnus's vids he got his antigua or something cursed by his gran faust. The six-shot clip nearly killed him.
Problem, Magnus? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Yeah later levels can see 4

Yeah later levels can see 4 or more bars dropping off per swing/shot. It can be extremely devastating if you don't notice it. But if you are observant, curses mean nothing.

"Cursing only affects half

"Cursing only affects half (rounded down) of your weapons though, those being which ever ones don't have the curse symbol over them down at the bottom of your screen."

This is certainly untrue. While it may vary with curse resistance, at least with zero curse resistance it's very common for both of my weapons and three or all four of my vials to get cursed. It's pretty easy to confirm this, and it doesn't seem to even be very unlikely. In ten trials (done outside of a level, so no vials), both of my weapons got cursed every single time. It's possible that this also varies with floor, I guess, but "half rounded down" isn't the general formula.

For me it always seems to

For me it always seems to curse three item slots and two weapons slots. If you have a third weapon slot you can keep fighting.

Gran Faust

The Strong curse from Gran Faust curses EVERYTHING (4 weapons, all 4 belt items) when it hits. So I simply act like GF has no charge attack. Works quite well for me. I do have a weakness to curse, though, which may be part of it. Regardless, love my Faust. Hell, when I'm not leveling gear, I often kill myself with curse intentionally to share my heat with friends. They find it hilarious, at least. And dieing at Basil or in the towns is quite amusing, as well, as long as I can convince someone to pick my butt back up.

I've always had one weapon

I've always had one weapon (of two) uncursed when I get cursed. My friend with three weapon slots has always only had one weapon get cursed and the other two are fine. I've heard from others though who have four weapon slots open that they see two of their weapons get cursed. So either we're extremely lucky, curse resistance affects the number of slots that are cursed, or that's just how it works, half rounded down.

No idea

I'm wearing the armor of the fallen, so I could easily just be causing curse to be worse for me. Not a huge deal, but it does get a little annoying in Tier 3 graveyards.

It could be that curse

It could be that curse resistance affects it. I was testing with nothing that affects curse resistance - 4* Faust, Ash Tail set, Owlite Shield. Second weapon was blaster line. Ten times out of ten, both weapons were cursed. It could also be affected by floor - I tested on floor 0. Certainly if I could get to a point where curse didn't effectively turn off the character for 30+ seconds (which, while generally not actively harmful, is kind of annoying and boring), I'd use the charge attack a lot more.

Well this certainly warrants

Well this certainly warrants testing. I've never encountered a situation where curse locked me down entirely. I've got a medium curse resistance on my cap and only lose two items and one weapon (half my items/weapons). Maybe there's a threshold of curse resistance that stops you from losing all your weapons. Maybe at a certain point you could not lose any weapons at all, making curse completely ineffective.
