What would the best UV be for a swiftstrike buckler? I want to roll and try to get a UV, but I want to know which UV's.

Resistance:

I'd take any effect except poison, but I want to know which resistant UV would be best.

Defense:

Not sure which is best, but I like all of them.

not freeze in Firestorm Citadel

Well, if you're running a lot of Firestorm Citadel, then the answer is probably not freeze. What I'm trying to say is that the best UV seems rather situational. Fortunately, SSB is so cheap (being 3-star) that you can get multiple SSBs for different occasions?

Nothing? :c In tier 3 it

Nothing? :c In tier 3 it hardly takes a single hit that you might as well not shield and just dodge. If anything maybe a lot of Shadow defense for the occasional Howlizter headbutt.

Well, the most general UV would be normal defense, but it's effectivity is debatable.

SSB, don't need UV. The point

SSB, don't need UV. The point of SSB is not to shield anything.

Freeze.

Freeze is the best resistance for shields.

Didn't Glacies

Figure out that shield resitances are useless? I would say MSI, or CTR. Preferably both.

Nothing

No one crafts SSBs so you wont find a UV'd one worth buying.

You can't roll resists with punch and even getting max normal would add nothing because it's a 3* item.

Be happy that this is the best value shield in the game and don't spend any more cr on it.

If however you are crazy and also very rich then maybe try to find a max Sleep SSB.

Well

Shadow and fire for FSC
Piercing and Freeze for URJP
Elemental and Shock for Twins and Arenas with that element.

I'm talking about double maxes.

My friend have some of those, and he say's that they're nice, can stand one more hit.

...

I rather invest armors with those uvs since 3* shield is just meh... shield health bar is low anyway.

Logically, anything that's a low should work just as well as a max dependent on how much damage you're taking from an enemy, for example:

All Defensive UVs work this way on Shields:

Low = 1%
Med = 2%
High = 3%
Max = 4%

Imagine it as true values, if a Wolver does 50 Damage against your shield and you have Piercing Maximum on an Ancient Plate Shield, the damage would be decreased from 50 to 46.

Wolvers and Chromalisk Series both share the same damage against Shields (on Elite):

50% against 5* Shields that aren't Omega: A Low here would be just as good as Medium, High, or Maximum and you'll survive up to 1 extra hit.
62% against 3* Shields. The same values work as they do anywhere else, so even with a Piercing Maximum, the lowest amount of damage you'd take would be 58%, which still isn't even enough to survive an additional hit.
93% Against 2* Shields. Nothing will help you here.

So most likely, I'd have to say Normal if you're aiming for anything. Everything else won't allow you to survive unless you were most likely on a lower difficulty. Along with that, it stacks so it should at least allow you to survive one extra normal-hit.

So really, it depends what you're going against but really doesn't matter since you'll only survive 1 hit. If you plan on running FSC a lot, I do suggest getting Fire Maximum on it, otherwise you're most likely just better sticking with a Normal Low or something.

You don't need a UV on swiftstrike. It can tank one hit and no more; getting a UV will hardly save you. Instead, roll a UV on one of your weapons. If you MUST get UVs on swifstrike, as in, all of your other gear is done, I'd recommend getting freeze+normal on it, and then finding additional flavors of defenses for a variety of situations.

Just know that it'll cost a ton and won't help you much, even against the very thing you're perfectly UV'd up against.
